I've never tried it, but a bunch of people on here use Elmer's and water, to make it spreadable...   I don't know the exact recipe, I think it's mainly just an eyeball it type of deal...  If you want to try it, try it with papers you don't care about on something like an old can or something (unless you collect cans, then don't, heh)...   trial and error is sometimes the best way to go.
232  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Pop/Soda can tabs on: January 26, 2004 07:11:16 AM
So yeah, I started collecting the soda can pop-top tab things for charity eons ago, then I decided they can better be used in crafting...

But I have absolutely NO idea what to do with them.   Help!

You could also take the empty card box, and cut a flap in the front of it, and present the earrings in the actual box...   you know, for like a theme...

I've made a small bulletin board with wine corks... I sliced the corks lengthwise down the center and glued them to a piece of corrugated cardboard which I then popped into an old wooden picture frame.  It  Looks very cool hanging over my computer work center.

(( the theater I work for now is located in a winery... So, I have lots of corks))

A different take on the cork ornament thingy...   You could do the same type of thing, but instead of making ornaments, you could make wine glass charms...   Just use different color tassels/beads/etc, and make a set of six..

At least, that's what I'm going to do with the TRILLION wine corks I bought at a yard sale one day...   Okay, so there are only two paper grocery bags full to the brim of them, but that's still a lot...

I saw this thing somewhere, I'm not really sure where...

But it was like a faux-flower thing, with mums, baby's breath, and a few other flowers mixed in...

They took the condom, partially unrolled it, and somehow affixed it so it was like a little "cup", for lack of a better term, around the bottom of the mums...   there were about 10 of those in the arrangement, although I'm sure you could have more or less, depending on your arrangement.

Then they arranged the flowers into a little flower pot, with that handy-dandy oasis (green stuff for plants) on the bottom...

There was a little card stuck in it, I'm not sure exactly what it said, but it was "instructions" for using your "Condmums"...   talking about how there must always be a "condmum" when contact with a "pussywillow" is expected, or there is a possibilty of "baby's breath"...   it was just hilarious.   I think it would be a good gag gift for someone...   especially someone kind of uptight.   But that's just me.

I can't sew, but I was thinking about starting a CnB...  Craft and Bitch, to explain my own little acronym..

I live in a suburb of Baltimore, Baltimore County to be exact..   Anyone interested?

I just think it would be fun to lug around totes full of craft stuff, share/sell some of our stuff if it's needed by someone else, and just have fun!

so...  I guess reply to this topic, or e-mail cloudbreakchick@hotmail.com  (that's me!).

And I'm totally psyched about there being a forum for us!   Yay!
