11  Found my camera! in The Swap Gallery by crappiefisher on: February 13, 2008 05:15:26 PM
Sweet! Here's my stuff from Casey!

First, here's all of the goodies! She packed a lot of it in adorable chinese food box-type boxes and this adorable yellow/brown ribbon (you can't see all of the detail in the pics though).........

And here are pics of each item:
1.  Awesome assortment of teas and coffees! I'm so excited and can't wait to try them out!

2. An etched jar with the word TEA!. I love it! It's for my loose teas. Can't wait to put some in there!!!

3.  Coffee Cup cozies!! 2 knitted ones (so soft and fuzzy!) and a pack of cardboard ones for my daughter and I to decorate!  It's funny because I used cardboard cup cozies in one of my gifts to Casey! (Great minds DO think alike!)

4.  An adorable tea towel! the words are Tea or Coffee or Tea or Coffee or ". I really love it! Something nice to put in my drab, rental house kitchen! She did an excellent job with the beads!

5.  A tea bag wallet! So Cool! I have so many teas that I could put in there and will! This will really help when I don't want a soda or a coffee...but a nice cup of tea will do the trick!

6.  2 coffee-themed greeting cards. These are very nicely done! At first (and please don't be offended Casey) I thought they were store bought then I REALLY looked at them and WOW! You should sell these on etsy!

7.  This is my ultimate favorite item (and my daughter's!) A Tea Box! It is so nice! We really needed this. Currently we use an old Maxwell House Christmas tin for our teas..but it's a coffee tin not a tea tin! I also made a box for Casey - Great minds dear! Great minds!
Here is the box when it is closed:

Here is the box opened.  It contained some yummy candies, hot chocolate mixes and more teas (There was also a little tin of loose tea in there but I took pics of it with the rest of the teas above).

WOW! I love all of my things! I'm really glad I did this swap. I can't wait for another one to pop up that "fits my fancy!"

Thanks Casey!

12  My rendition of the coffee/tea cup sweater in Crochet: Completed Projects by crappiefisher on: January 23, 2008 07:10:21 AM
OK, so I was amazed with the tea cup sweater made here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=218221.0

I was like - "This is so cool! I have GOT to have one of those!" So I printed out the picture and would look at it day after day, until I figured it out. Last night I sat down and made one. Take a look:

I really like the way it looks in this profile, but I messed up a little on the other side:

Oh well, it's just for me!

Thanks for viewing!

13  Cardboard box to dollhouse! in Completed Projects by crappiefisher on: January 07, 2008 05:29:33 PM
I am so psyched! We got this awesome elliptical machine as a Christmas present to ourselves.  In order to take the big thing out, my dh had to rip the box apart. I was standng there looking at it...hmmm..."that would make a GREAT dollhouse for dd!"
My husband just kind of gave me one of those "uh huh" answers indicating that he thought I was off to one of my crazy ideas that never work.

The next day (while dh was at work) I was inspired and researched different dollhouse plans and such. Then I went to work!

Here is the box after I cleaned up a bit after dh stopped putting together that dang machine (a part broke and now we have to wait for the repair man - ugh!)

Sorry that the pics are so small. You can click on the pic to see a larger one.

Here are the pieces that I cut up to make the house and the doll that I used to measure everything.

I made a few modifications to the pieces as I went along cuz I found out that I didn't have enough cardboard to make it the way I planned originally.

So here is the final, unfinished house!

DD simply loves it! She plays with it every chance she can! She was so inspired by my mumbling, cutting, taping and such that she went off and came back with this chair!

Isn't cool! It's two foam bowls glued together with the top one cut out to form the seat!
Now I have to paint the house and accessorize. I'll post pics when I'm done!
I'm so excited! My dh is quite impressed!

NOTE: I realize, while putting my dd to bed, that this post actually or probably belongs in recycled crafts, completed projects.  my apologies to the mods! This is only my second post! pleeeeeeease forgive me! ;-)

14  Hand Sanitizer Cozy in Crochet: Completed Projects by crappiefisher on: October 16, 2007 10:30:05 AM
This is my first project to post on Crafster! I love this site!

Anyway, I made a hand sanitizer cozy for myself last year and got a tons of compliments, so I decided to make them for my Esty shop. What do guys/gals think?

It has a little clip attached to a loop on the right-hand side. You can't see the clip in this picture.
