Wow. The Borrowers books were my number one favourites when I was a child, and this conjures it up so well, I'm remembering bits from the books as I'm examining the pics Cheesy  I, too, want to read the series again now that I've seen this!

This is excellent - I didn't really know what the grumpy cat meme was all about but I keep seeing it on Pinterest and it cracks me up every time.  That needle felting is amazing, nice job Smiley

25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Simple tarot card case on: February 04, 2013 10:22:47 AM
Yes, two pieces - the part for wrapping the deck is basically just like a square with the main fabric on one side and black lining fabric on the other, kind of like a napkin I guess. The person I made it for had their deck just wrapped in a bit of fabric in a drawstring bag so I wanted to make them something a little more elegant.  Then the wrapped deck just fits into the case.  The case itself is made from one long piece lined with black felt, with felt panels on the sides.

Thanks! Yes those pearly stud closures would be cool.  They were a lot of fun to make and upcycling scraps is always a bonus Smiley
28  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Cupcakes - lettering lessons learned... on: February 04, 2013 10:11:57 AM
Thanks, hope it comes in handy for you Smiley I still have some of those little tubes left so I'm going to experiment with them and see if they're good for anything!
29  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Assorted cupcakes on: February 04, 2013 10:07:17 AM
Yes, I made them from fondant or sugarpaste shaped into flower shapes rather than piped. I still don't know how to pipe flowers, that's on my to-learn list!
