1  Illinois / Illinois: North / Knitted hat help on: December 20, 2005 10:57:36 AM
My friend Jane in New Orleans made some super amazing hats and I'm trying to sell them for her here in Chicago so I can raise some money for her new roof.  I'm having a hard time selling them on the street, and boutiques want such a giant cut that I can't handle it.  I've tried depart/ment, but it seems like most people just go there to shop for ideas.  Does anyone here have any ideas where I can sell these hats?  Thanks!
2  Illinois / Illinois: North / Angora rabbits on: October 04, 2005 08:15:04 PM
Hello All,
I am looking for an angora rabbit to love and cuddle and spin yarn with it's fur.  Does anyone know where I can get one?  I live in chicago but can travel just about anywhere, a four hour drive is probably my limit.
Thanks!

Hello,
I live in Chicago and am looking for an angora rabbit to keep as a pet and spin it's fur.  Does anyone know where I can get one?  They don't exactly sell angora rabbits at Petco...
4  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / totally confused on: September 24, 2005 09:46:33 PM
okay, stupid question, I'm sure, but I can't find an answer anywhere.  If I have the raw wool fresh off the sheep, what do I do next?  Carding? Spinning?  What?  How do I clean it?  Is making yarn twisting hunks of wool by hand?  Please help!
5  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / What is the best type of sheep to get to make... on: September 24, 2005 09:11:15 PM
soft, beautiful wool.  A friend of mine is going to raise a sheep for me to spin wool from, but we are having trouble figuring out the best kind to get.  He will be living in Northern Cali, and would like a range (foraging) sheep.  Thanks for any info...
6  Illinois / Illinois: North / From New Orleans to Chicago on: August 09, 2005 09:45:25 AM
Hi There,
I am a super duper crafty 28 year old lady moving from NOLA to Chicago.  I am looking for some like minded folks to live with or hang out with or to help me find a place to live or hang out.  I am into vaudeville, circus, dumpster diving, building art with trash, knitting, gardening, good music, and puppets.  I haven't even BEEN to Chicago before but I am picking up and moving across the country out of sheer boredom.  And love of Chris Ware's comics.  Anyhoo, if anyone has some advice or knows of a place for rent or something I should be doing I would love to hear it.  My email address is therealkelly@gmail.com.  Help a sister out!

Hi Gals and Dolls,
I finished this awesome baby bag for a friend and just wanted to share it.  It's loosely based off the Marsupial bag in stitch n bitch.  Here's the photos:
