2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Collage ATC's on: January 20, 2013 12:29:26 PM
So, I realized my very first ATC totally sucked. Cheesy I knew I could do better so I tried harder the second time. Mine are all made from pieces of scrap book paper, stamps, and clip art images. I know, it's not really "true" art but, I'm not the best at drawing  Undecided I'm interested in future swaps but I'm nervous that people won't like my style/art work. There is always room to improve and I'm sure I will get better over time. Artistic talent is in my blood  Cheesy

Here is what I came up with last week...

I re-made my first circus version

Hot Glam Girl!

Seamstress Beauty

Memory Book

Strike a Pose

Sorry if some of the images are blurry. I tried to resize them for the site but it made them blurry in the process.
3  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Beads of courage on: January 19, 2013 09:37:47 PM
Beads of Courage is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. They provide innovative, arts-in-medicine supportive care programs for children coping with serious illness, their families and the health care providers who care for them. For more information please visit www.beadsofcourage. org

Here is how you can donate:

Bead designers/makers can create their own beads and send in. Read the guidelines/tips first here http://www.beadsofcourage.org/pages/beadartists.htmbefore making any kind of beads.

If you are not a bead maker you can still donate manufactured beads and send to the same address. You can also give money donations.

I have pictured an example of what a child's beads courage looks like. It's actually mine from 2007. Even the littlest of things like beads brightens their days tremendously and keeps them smiling during the toughest of times.

Thanks for checking it out. God Bless

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Cling stamps VS. Clear Stamps on: January 16, 2013 01:00:00 PM
Hey,

I didn't know where to post this question so, hopefully this is the right place.

I was wondering if there is really a significant difference between cling and clear stamps? When I went to buy my first clear stamps back in the summer, the lady helping me told me that cling stamps are a bit more difficult to use than clear... I looked up how you use them and it doesn't seem like it's more difficult to me. Any input or suggestions? Or what do you prefer? Thanks!

I have many clear stamps and I love them. I'm looking for a little more info about cling stamps before I buy any.
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / First ATC... on: January 09, 2013 11:24:35 AM
Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the ATC world Smiley I looked into it back in the summer but, never went further than that until now. My first one is a collage. I'm hoping to improve on my techniques and skills so I can join you in future swaps. This is an awesome community!
