Thank you!

Here are a couple more for a personal swapper who wanted some doctor who stuff. This was like the 4th time I drew David Tennant, and I've never seen a single episode of DW. lol People are Who crazy!

2  Toothless the Dragon (My first plushie!) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by LauraM on: April 15, 2013 07:06:13 PM
All I have to say is: hats off to all of you plushie makers! This guy was a beast! I'm a novice sewer and this was the most complicated thing I've made to date, but boy is he cute! It took me several afternoons to complete since the pattern was confusing to me and I had to improvise a bit, but I am mostly happy with how he came out, and I think my swap partner is too! (How to Train Your Dragon Swap)

^^^ In case you want to make one for yourself. Smiley

I put weighted filler in his legs so he could stand up on his own and wires in his wings to help them have a bit more structure/posability. I also made his eyes out of polymer clay.

Yay!! I'm glad you like your things! It was fun making them, and I must say that I never pictured myself catching any ATCs on fire before this swap. haha Thank you for the kind words to calm my swap anxiety craziness. lol

Here are a couple pics of Toothless (my first plushie!!) in the sunlight before I sent him since OathKeeper is having rainy day!

4  April ATCs - More Added 4/24 @4PM in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by LauraM on: April 13, 2013 06:58:10 PM
I sent these to my partner over a month ago and I never heard from them again, but hopefully they got them! Here are a few ATCs I did for a personal swap.

A young Stevie Nicks, an Alice in Wonderland card from an image in the book, and a Zelda themed card with a controller attached by string so that you can "play" it. Smiley

EDIT 4/15 - 4 more cards. 1) OathKeeper's Pony (Pastels) 2) Hiccup and Astrid (Marker) 3) Stormfly (Marker and Fire) 4) Toothless (Marker)

Yay!!! I get to be the first one to post the goodies I received! Cheesy

I have been ridiculously spoiled by the mega talented Oath Keeper, and am currently resisting the urge to post 487 photos of the awesomeness that has just got in my grubby little hands. Smiley

Oath Keeper, you really outdid yourself! I definitely have swap nervousness going on after seeing this crazy array of dragony adorableness!! Haha

To start, she made 5 ATCs. Five. Cinco. lol Fun fact: OathKeeper and I first "met" through a personal ATC swap on here! I love all of the different styles she did! The one with Astrid is inspired by an image I love that I pinned on pinterest. (Sneaky one, that OathKeeper! Wink hehe) The green one has a translucent paper over it so it can "change" colors! So creative!

Next up! She made me a neat little toothless magnet, a super kawaii Toothless keychain, TWO Toothless tail charms for my camera bag, AND some freaking cool dragon eye earrings!

THEN! She made me a custom box with some of the initial character design illustrations of Hiccup that I just adore, with little drawings alongside the images, and if all of that wasn't enough she made me a completely custom, one of a kind, uber detailed and dripping in cute Toothless sculpture from a blind bag my little pony figure (since I have the pony fever. lol) I am just swimming in awesomeness from Oathkeeper, here folks. Can you believe all of this? Hitting the lottery is an understatement.

Oath - you went waaaaaay above and beyond. I'm pretty sure this realistically adds up to at least 50 points. haha I cannot thank you enough for sharing your mad foxy ninja skillz with me!

I recently received the most wonderful moving card from blupaisan!!!! It's a tiny dauschund that moves across the sidewalk like it's walking. OMG !!! It's a crossover between my moving and weenie dog themes, and it is weenie dog approved!! Photo evidence here with my long haired mini doxie, Tinkerbell. This card makes me so happy!!

From Michelleandbean, a beautiful zen tangle star for my stars theme. The precision of the cut is amazing and the patterns are mesmerizing! Thank you so much, Michelle!!

I wrote a post with these over the weekend but I'm not seeing them, so I'm posting again! Hopefully I'm not double posting, but I want to make sure everyone sees the awesomeness that I received from Toralune and Artmomto5!!

I received this awesome Maya for my Phoenix Wright theme from Toralune. This is the first card I've received for this theme and she's my favorite support character, so it's pretty fitting that she's the one I got! Toralune perfectly captured Maya with a simple, but beautiful portrait. This is probably my favorite video game, so this card is extra special to me. Smiley Thank you so much, Toralune. I love it!

Next up, I received a super COOL card hidden inside of this sweet vintage bear card of bonus coolness! Artmomto5 picked my Pop Art theme and crossed it with my famous monsters theme for a Warhol-esque piece of Frankenstein's monster! How neat is that?? I flipping love the bold colors and the glossy paper she used. It makes it feel even more like a poster, which fits the theme perfectly!

Feeling pretty spoiled by you ladies!! Thank you so so so so much!!! Cheesy

So my mailbox exploded last night when I got home... with awesomeness. Smiley

I don't know what I did to deserve all these incredible things but I am seriously feeling so lucky right now. Every card I've received has been just brilliant and these are no exception. I am in awe of the talent!!

Please forgive my photo heaviness, I seriously was flipping out over all three of these cards. lol

First up, Susie Apple. The card that my swap card was in was a hand drawn illustration warning me of what was ahead.

And then the ATC for my ridiculously cute/kawaii theme. She did not disappoint! This card is TRIPLE awesome because it fits my theme, it includes chips n salsa (my fave) AND the frame looks like a polaroid and I'm a photo nerd, so that gave me the squeals.
How strange, my arms were doing this exact happy dance when seeing these cards... Wink

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!! An extra in that groovy Susie style for my bird theme and some ATC paper goodness!

*swoon* Okay, on to a card from La Chapa for my Ghibli theme.
First, the gorgeous paper cut card it was tucked inside of.

Then I opened it up and began squealing loudly, so my husband walked up and began squealing like a girl in a manly way right along side me. He then threatened to steal it and I gave him the evil eye. BEHOLD THE CUTE!!

The stars are collaged on and I LOVE THE GOOGLY EYES! lol AHH!

I almost forgot I had another card, but then I wondered what this bubble envelope was doing in my hand and I came back to my senses. lol

This one was from little circles. Let me just say in advance that I quit quilling. Her pieces just blow me away regularly. When I saw how thick the package was, I about flipped. Could this be? Did *I* get a little circles quilling piece? I ripped open the bubble mailer, and found this inside. An unassuming hibiscus card that reminded me that she lives in Hawaii. Oooh! Sparkles! hehe

So I opened it. slipped the card out of the bubble wrap and my husband and I just both stared at each other in disbelief with our jaws on the floor. This geisha is stunning!

Some detail pr0n.

Thank you so much, ladies!!

Thank you so much, Lisa. I am so pleased that you like them!

Oh my goodness so much ATC goodness going around! I'm just going to have to comment on every card on this page!

Artmomof5 - what a gorgeous card. I love the bold lines of the sunset!

Kittyherman - I love the soft style of this card, I'm a huge fan of borders, and I like that you've depicted the spud with his angry eyes. Smiley

Mountains and Clouds - what a pretty bird! I love the mix of black and metallic 16th notes floating around and it is so cool that you chose a bird special for Hawaii! I like the fun tree in the extra card, also!

Michelleandbean - What a neat tree! I love the impressionistic approach you took to the leaves! That must have taken some serious time, but with such a lovely result.

La Chapa - I love your dragonfly! I'm partial to blue ones and you have captured it's wings beautifully. (holy crap, dragonfly wings are hard!)  lol I also like that you chose such a symmetrical approach to him giving the card a very graphic look, reminiscent of gorgeous tiffany glass. Smiley

LauraM - Chicken/dragonfly.... meh. I've seen better. Tongue

BUT WAIT! There's MORE!

I just got this g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s card, and I could just die. It's a real show stopper and I can't stop looking at it. Check out this swoon enducing brilliance a la Gozer. It even has some subtle sparkles on the gold border. Sparkles + Art Nouveau = <3 <3 <3

"Dreams"

Sparkle shot!
