Any other crafters here live in the Blue Mountains? If so, whereabouts?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some instructions or a tutorial for the Thai wraparound pants that I've seen in the completed projects? I'd love to make some, but have no idea how. Even just basic instructions would be good.

Yeah, it's small and simple, but I wanted to post it. It's for my friends mp3 player, which is really small. Took just over an hour (I'm not the fastest and I was being distracted).

Would anyone like to do a round two of the love always, charlie letter swap? I thought this was a really good idea, but, unfortuneately, found it too late. Any takers?

I needed to protect my mp3 player from being destroyed in my bag, so I made a Domo cozy for it. This is the first time I've done intarsia/fair isle (have no idea what this one is). My mp3 fits perfectly too!

Yay! First ever project post. And first challenge! Double yay!

Anyway...I'm sorry I have no "in progress" pictures. I basically made this by getting some cardboard and sticking on random wrapping paper I found in my room. I also had a Darrell Lea chocolates bag, so put that on. Then I put the train tickets on, then the beer lid and the disposable chopsticks. It's rather simple, but I like it. I wasn't actually inspired by anything in particular. I think it was more boredom and procrastinating study.

I want to know if anyone here has used Shwarzkopf (sp?) Live Dye, and how it worked. Did it look ok? I want blue streaks in very dark brown hair, and this particular hair dye is just for that.

Also, can someone explain a strand test?

For some strange reason I want to knit a top hat.  I could do what I usually do and attempt to wing it, but I thought I'd ask you lovely people for some ideas or pointers.  A pattern would be good if anyone knows of one? I'm also guessing that, to make it stiff or firm so that it keeps it shape, I would have to either knit on very small needles or stiffen it somehow.  Unless chunky wool would work.

Any ideas, suggestions or tips? Or pointless rants?

This is craft-related. Sorta. I was wondering what people thought of the idea to create a comic about crafts? For some unknown reason I want to draw a comic, but have no ideas for it, until now. Let me know what you think and please give me suggestions if you have any. I'll try it if I have enough ideas for it.

I don't know if anyone knows what I mean by this. I was wondering if anyone knew of a really good book or somewhere on the internet where I might be able to find fairly simple instructions for cabling a celtic design.
