I used a pattern found here: http://fixergirl.blogspot.com/2010/01/pattern-kaleidoscope-beret.html and altered the pattern in a few ways. First, I added a round of dc to make it slouchier. Because I was making it for a child and needed a tighter fit, I added another round of decrease. Finally, I altered the band to eliminate the ribbing, using only sc. This one was a lot of fun to make! 

Hi! This is the first of what I hope will be many posts of my finished projects here on Craftster! This is a hat I made for my seven year old using the Phannie pattern from Berroco. I used Rowan wool cotton (which is sport weight) and a G hook to make it the right size for her. All in all it took me about 4 hours to make, even with the smaller hook.
