1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sprechen Sie deutsch? German pattern help on: February 24, 2013 12:51:48 PM
I found this beautiful lace "Feather" pattern on Ravelry. The only problem is that the pattern is only available through a YouTube video and the instructions are in German. I can kind of tell what she's doing by watching her knit, but I'm not near experienced enough to be sure. If someone out there speaks German, or is a more experienced knitter, I need your help desperately!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / To Wash or Not to Wash on: January 16, 2013 10:34:18 PM
Hi, I've never finished a quilt before though I've made countless blocks. So, here's the deal. A few years ago I made my first quilt top (basic squares) but I forgot to wash the fabric before cutting and sewing the pieces together. It has been hanging in my closet for some time and I finally bought fabric for the backing. All the fabric, including the top, is 100% cotton quilting fabric. Should I wash the backing before attaching it to the top? Should I wash the top pieced together? I really don't want to rip the seams, wash the pieces, and then resew the thing. I'm hoping someone more experienced will know what to do.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Recycled Sari Yarn on: December 31, 2012 07:51:17 PM
Hi fellow knitters. I keep seeing recycled sari yarn on the internet and I wondered if anyone else has knitted with it before and has any comments or complaints.
Any one good place to buy? Any info helps Smiley
