13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Super-fun 3-month swap on: July 20, 2005 05:16:29 AM
Hello friends! Grin

I am interested in organizing a 3-month swap. Each month would have a theme and I would rotate the partners so you would have someone new each month. Who's interested??
14  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Happy 4th of July . . . Pants! on: July 02, 2005 06:08:44 PM
The 4th of July is not only Independence Day in our family, it's my husband's grandfather's birthday. Hours of fireworks can be expected every year. My 2yo and I decided to make special pants just for the occasion.

I'm especially proud of these 'cause I just learned to sew a week ago and this is my first pattern project. Happy Independence Day!

15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Button Makers on: June 29, 2005 11:26:25 AM
I've searched this topic and found lots of people disgruntled about how expensive button making machines are. So I wonder . . .

Has anyone ever tried to make their own button making machine?? Does it work?? Would you share how you did it??

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone will have succeeded at this. Smiley
16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / button makers on: June 29, 2005 11:24:03 AM
Several people all over this board have posted about wanting a button maker but finding them incredibly costly.

I'm wondering, has anyone ever tried (and hopefully succeeded) in making their own button making machine??

I searched and couldn't find anything, so I'm asking here. Thanks.
17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My very first sewing project on: June 21, 2005 05:52:24 AM
After getting my mother to make clothes for my daughter for the last 2.5 years with the promise that one day I would learn to sew myself, I purchased a sewing machine on Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, I had made this bag - sans pattern, but remembering a lot of things I'd read on here. Thanks girlies.

On Sunday I made a lined bag following a tute on here, but I don't have a pic 'cause I used it, in trade, to pay my babysitter. Smiley
