1  EUROPE / FRANCE / Re: How's the weather like? on: June 13, 2007 07:18:04 AM
What part of France are you going to?  I live in the Paris area and I'd say it's MOSTLY hot in the summer, esp. when there's a 'canicule'.  But there are days when you will need a sweater.  Pack layers. Wink

Have you found any cheap paint yet?  Let us know if you find out where.

The cheapest way I found to buy paint was in the really big buckets, but that's not really a good tip because it was still expensive.  Luckily you shouldn't have to do it very often (unless you keep moving that is!).

I am LOVING that dress!  I think I'm going to try to find that pattern for myself.

Ummm.... but maybe somebody will know how to help me with the opposite problem though - small boobies.  Shocked  How do I make the boobie part smaller?  I have a normal size ribcage and tiny breasts.  And I'm no seamstress by trade so I REALLY screw these things up.

je suis la...

just sporadic about getting on the computer sometimes!

So I'm 32, 3 kids, and out of all the crafts I like sewing best (for now).  That's funny - I had the soap phase too.  Not so easy to do with 6 hands pulling at my skirt.  Well add the husband and that would make 8.  Grin

And I've always thought Hawaii sounded like a great place to be stuck in!

Oh This looks like fun but I'm too new to do it.   Tongue
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: WATERMELON sundress - toddler size! So cute!! on: June 07, 2005 08:09:40 AM
That IS too cute to sell.  But I suppose even though it's red and green those watermelons just couldn't pass for a Christmas dress.

This looks like fun!  But before I mess it up here is my philosphical question - is all clay the same?  Or are there some clays created better than others?

Ok, I just don't know what polymer clay is.

When do you move back to Paris?

I always come back from visiting the States with a LOADED suitcase.  If you've found anything you really like in the States make sure you buy plenty.  And if you find you have extra room let me know Wink

Good luck with your move!

Great!  That'll be another field trip - teaching the kids to haggle!  I'm giggling just thinking about it.
