So here is my costume, a German bar wench.  I thought it would be a cool costume because they're cute and you get to wear a corset, too.  I actually made it for an assignment in my theater costuming class but I wore it for Halloween, too.

This challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to FINALLY paint these shoes that I bought a while ago just for that purpose.  Sorry I don't have any pictures of the process but I drew the design down with tape and chalk.

I bought this black button up shirt years ago for band concerts but now that I'm not in band anymore the shirt has become useless and a little too small.....soooo I decided to cut off part of the sleeves and make a panel in the front with buttons that have googly eyes on them.  It's sooo cool

and after it was finally done I decided I wanted to make a huge hair bow like the ones you see in cartoons

ok so I "found"    this little girl's jacket in our lost and found at work (I work at a theme park).  Anyhoo I couldn't wear it because it was like a kids size 8 ssooooo I cut off the sleevies and added some embellishments, then decided it needed something more.  I knew I wanted a pacman theme so my sister suggested painting a maze on the back and lo and behold I did it.  I've only finished the back so far though.  I'm going to sew on fruit shaped buttons on the front if I ever get around to it. 


This is how it began, tracing the design on with a disappearing ink fabric pen.



Painted it with regular fabric paints.....took quite a while because the fabric just absorbs the paint.



I kinda half assed it after a while because I got tired of trying to keep the lines straight.  I still think it's super cute though

It was a large but I've fixed it up a bit and added a few things to make it more me.this is me wearing itand then I decided to put some lyrics on it with some regular acrylic paint (was that a good idea?)You can't really tell but there is black and white striped ribbon going down the sides. Oh well I love this shirt so much. By the way my little sister wanted me to mention that's her finger in the last picture....dang siblings]

I bought this cute spoon trinket thing at a vintage clothes show and decided I needed to make a ring out of it so here it is, TADA!!
