1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Brother Serger 1034D HELP PLEASE!!! on: December 21, 2012 08:12:44 PM
I was overlocking away and I think I might have hit a hidden pin. I'm not sure. The machine started 'clacking' and one of the needles broke. I replaced both needles but every time I go to use the machine there is a a clacking noise and it breaks the threads in both needles. I find that if I disengage the knife completely, the 'clacking' stops.

Is there anything I should/could check before I try and take this machine to a repairman. I am in a panic because I am in the middle of a Xmas project and have no idea where in Mexico City I could find someone to repair this before Xmas.

Thanks for any help.
