So excited for a new semester!!! Grin  I feel like I'm just starting to get my life back!  I've already made three drawings since the beginning of the month!!! And the prompts are amazing...so much variety to choose from...

I'll be posting classes and stuff soon but right now I'm focusing all my extra energy on getting my work space all set up again. Maybe by Monday?

And the Divination and CoMC classrooms have officially been set up.  I'll be adding updates to them a little later in the month!

I have a Stacy barbie from the '90s.  But no cloths for her.  Does anyone here make or be willing to help me make clothing for her.  I have been completely unable to find any for her at all!!!

Winter is upon us my lovely students...and that is why we will be focusing on an aspect of many kinds of seeing and not on a specific kind of divination.  This term we will be focusing on the use of Death in Divination.  Death is not the dark thing that it seems and Winter is the most relevant reminder of this fact. Only with the coming of winter can we anticipate rebirth in the Spring.  In the tarot the upright Death card stands for rebirth, change, and transformation.  Taking this into consideration I would like for you to focus your energies on a rebirth or transformation in your life and create something that will help you welcome this new change.

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: HP Craftalong ~Winter Semester 2014/2015~ Care Of Magical Creatures on: November 29, 2014 11:56:45 AM

The flying horse is a beloved magical creature both in the Wizarding and the Muggle worlds.  It appears in many Muggle fairy tales and has been used for various reasons in our world (last semester we learned that fighting from above is one of the only ways to defeat a Chimaera.)  There are several species of flying horse that we will look at this semester.  This includes the Pegasus & the Thestral.  Due to the holidays, I will also be covering the myth of the flying reindeer in our studies.  Though we don't have proof of its existence in either the Wizarding or Muggle worlds, I would remind you that we are still discovering magical creatures all the time!  Please study a flying horse (or reindeer) and create something that reflects an attribute of the creature or something that can be used for its care.  This can include food, shelter, or mounting gear, as well as aspects of that particular creature's mythology.  For example the Pegasus is a symbol of wisdom, fame and the Muses in Greek mythology, and the mythical flying reindeer are thought to aid in the delivery of gifts and goodwill during the holiday season.

I have been SO mia on here this semester. Unfortunately I have had very little time to craft. I started radiation therapy this month. So I am at the hospital every weekday! Tuff stuff.

My first post of the new semester! Just a quick fly by!

Challenge: Bean--Aubergine
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Cherry and Grape brimmed hat
Project Description: my step mother's sister saw the hats I've been making and requested one. I made this just for her. I really love the color combo.  The purple reminds me of eggplants.
