22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: OTT October Holidays Edition 3 GALLERY on: October 29, 2011 07:43:45 PM
Haroldlovesmaude asked me to post a photo of the OTT I sent to her.

I sent her Halloween Treats stitch markers.  Clockwise from top:  wrapped mini chocolate (based on Hershey's bars), popcorn ball (I used to receive these as a kid from my neighbor), candy corn, black gumdrop with sugar crystals and wrapped taffy.
23  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: OTT October Holidays Edition 3 (Send by 10/24) on: October 29, 2011 12:22:43 PM
I gave out a bunch of Positive feedback today, so check your status if you're itching to start a new swap!

Here is what hazelly sent to me:

It's a teensy-weensy doily!  Look at all of those tiny stitches she had to make!  She went to thirteen stores to try to find orange thread, but none of them had it.  I think it is beautiful.  I think that this year I will have it sitting out, but next year I'll craft a nice frame for it so I can have it hanging up.

Thank you, hazelly!

plucky1_08 - Those clips are a great idea.  I think my favorite one is the skeleton hand.  It reminds me of the The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs.

rosyposie - How did you get the lantern to stay in a cube shape?  Is it all just really sturdy paper?

crazyda79 - Peace, Love and Candy Corn makes me giggle!

aluraceleste- super cute hair band!  Is it one of those stretchy ones the fit around your whole head or is it more like a head band?

Mellifluous- Your brain box makes me think it's something a zombie keeps in its coat pocket, just in case of emergency.  Like an emergency ration of chocolate.

gerbilgal- Cute Zero!  I remember when I first saw NBC, I was entranced by it and watched it over and over.  I think I was about ten at the time.  It was out on video, but I don't remember seeing any previews for it in the theater.

hazelly- So glad that you like it!  The original sketch was for a zombie prom date with a crown pulling her hair off her scalp, but I miscalculated the size of the felt pieces, so I had to improvise at the end.  It's more of an "everyday" zombie now.

I believe that stamp came from StampFranciso.com

Is the spider abdomen a bead?  And I like the giant spiderweb!

Here is the chunky house that I sent to TheSavoyTruffle, since she asked me to post a photo.

The inspiration for this chunky house was a "Greetings from..." postcard.  TheSavoyTruffle really liked the heads of Easter Island so I thought "what if they were having a party?"  The black crepe paper is supposed to be masks on their faces, but my husband says it doesn't translate like that.

PaperSnipper - How did you paint the background of that card?  It looks like batik fabric!

justaddcats- I like the inclusion of the fangs and the single whiskers.  It makes the kitty look like it has a debonair mustache.

meowari - Great painting!  I like the curlycues in the frame as well.

Hello everyone!  If you would check your status on the first post of this gallery thread and PM me if anything is incorrect, that would be awesome!  Thanks.
