31  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: You know you're a Craftster when... (part THREE!) on: July 10, 2016 05:11:45 AM
YKYACW you're sad a store is going out of business but also happy because CHEAP SUPPLIES! Smiley

YKYACW your fiance has become your enabler. The other day at Hancock Fabrics I found three yarns I liked. I showed them to my fiance and said "Hey, help me pick a color. I want to get two skeins of one of these." He grabbed the three skeins plus one more of each color and said "Let's just get them all. If you don't, you'll regret it later." How am I supposed to keep myself from becoming a supply hoarder if he won't give me a limit? Roll Eyes

One of my friends back in my hometown is having a baby so I'm going to try to make her a hat and maybe some booties. I'll just have to do it while my little froggy is playing with his daddy or while he's asleep at night (he naps in my arms during the day).

*takes off glasses, squints and tilts head* Nope! Still doesn't look alike! Roll Eyes

I kind of what to read that article now, even though you've said it's inaccurate.
35  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: A Whovian idea I'm just going to toss out there on: July 02, 2016 03:31:22 AM
I might do that, actually. I mean, I do have a baby now and letting him play with one would probably freak out my Whovian friends! Grin

But I'm sure it would bug him a lot more if nobody was telling stories about him!

I'm pretty sure that he's sitting in the hereafter, positively beaming over the fact that people are still talking about him this long after he's gone Smiley

I've been *trying* to work on a UFO but it's hard. I try to crochet when my froggy's nursing but he'll unlatch and try to grab the yarn and then tries to jam it in his mouth Roll Eyes
And if I put him in his swing, he knows it's play time (I play with his toes and play peek-a-boo while he swings) and yells at me (babbles loudly) if I pick up my crochet.
38  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Crochet in Fiction (Movies, TV, Books) on: June 25, 2016 12:36:53 AM
Rifftrax response: "Every girl learns it in Home Ec for the Evil. It comes after crocheting with human hair."

Home Ec for Evil? Lol I love it!

I've noticed in a Credit Karma commercial there's a girl using a crocheted blanket and there's one draped over the back of the couch that she's laying on Smiley My fiance has gotten used to me pointing out crocheted things in movies or tv shows we watch. Grin
