1155  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Wee bit of Irish luck *with pattern* on: March 16, 2014 04:17:36 AM
Since tomorrow is St. Paddy's Day, I decided I needed to crochet up some luck for myself Cheesy

This is actually the second one I crocheted. The first I sewed onto a hairclip for my sister:

For anyone who's interested, here's the pattern I wrote:
Make a magic ring, ch 1 then sc four times in the ring
sl st to join first st
Triple crochet twice in next st, chain 3, sl st into same st
repeat for next 3 sts, sl st in first st on beg tc, ch 4, f/o weave in ends

Sorry if you can't follow it! I've never tried to write a pattern for others to follow so it may not make sense.
There may be small gaps in the clover but you can close those from the back using the tail of yarn from the center of the ring.

Challenge: March - Luck of the Irish
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points: Engineering (pattern found in project link)
Project Name: Crocheted luck charm

I love four-leaf clovers and have picked quite a few over the years which I pressed in books. But I would always lose them. So I decided to make one this year. My sister wanted one on a hair clip so I found a clip in my stash and sewed it on. The clip is one from Hobby Lobby that has holes for attaching things. I'll be making more of these for sure Cheesy

When people asked what's that in your hair and you answer, it's a crochet hook.

When your friends treat your craft stash like it's a free craft store. Saying you have too much stuff.

Crochet hooks make good hair accessories. It'll catch on one of these days Grin
My friends don't craft much but my mom and aunt know if there's a craft supply they need, I most likely have it. My aunt was looking to buy some Spider-Man print fabric to make pjs for my cousin's son. I told her to come see me instead and save a bit of money.

Aww! Who knew an evil robot alien thing could be so cute Grin

Thinking he would be a fab ornament. Cool

And now I want to do a Dr. Who Christmas tree Cheesy
