AIMR, love your prayer flags! And I know how you feel about Hancock Fabrics closing. It's the closest fabric store for me because it's only fifteen minutes away. Beyond Hobby Lobby (very little fabric selection :I) and Michael's (even less than HL), I'd have to drive two hours to go fabric shopping at a JoAnn's Sad

I want to go to yoopidou's house to help taste-test those yummy looking baked goodies! Shocked

Audio, I never thought I'd say this, but I want a ransom note kit! Lol! That would be a fun container to have around for people who decoupage.

LBB, those TM patches are pretty! I really like the one with cupcakes on it.

Freakie, I saw your post before I checked the person posting it. My immediate thought was "Texscrapper". Just can't keep LA girls away from purple and gold I suppose. Glad you were able to sleep. Definitely more important than curtains.

I'll probably be making another LSU blanket because my fiance wants one, too, and I've still got plenty of the fabric (I bought the last six yards and got it for 50% off instead of 40% because they're still offering an extra 10% off for buying end of bolt). As far as the nice finished look of the satin binding, I got the idea a few years ago when I wanted to make a blanket as a gift for someone. I didn't feel like cutting fringes then tying a bunch of knots so I picked up a couple blanket binding that were on sale to go along the edge. Basically, this great idea came about because I was lazy! Lol!
I'll eventually get around to those curtains. If nothing else, in a couple weeks or so, my fiance's mom was wanting to keep my Froggy for the weekend and I'll get them done then.

Oh hey! I'm actually posting something Shocked
Prompt: April - Don Quixote
Team: Fandom
Project Name: LSU blanket
My fiance's friend Blake is his best friend and no one is more loyal to you than your best friend Smiley His favorite college football team is LSU and I found some LSU fleece on sale at Hancock Fabrics so I bought some along with some blanket binding and made him a blanket Cheesy

Didn't work on curtains today (I slept a LOT) but I did get this done up for my fiance's best friend:

It's about 1 1/2 yards fabric with satin blanket binding sewn on (a whole one and less than half of another) to give it a finished look. Super simple and relatively cheap because I bought it all on sale at Hancock Fabrics.

Ooh another good idea! Cheesy
I have a tube of old mascara somewhere. I saved it because I just *knew* I could do something with it! Lol

FreakieGeekie---I am sure that for a new mom, leaving her baby with others must be stressful, even if you have the utmost trust in them...sounds like you are getting back to things you love to do and fitting baby in with your lives!

This morning my fiance said that on the way home, he kept expecting me to tell him to turn around and go back for the baby. We sat at my parents' house for about an hour before I'd leave. But I know he'll be okay. And I'm going to occupy myself making things. As soon as I have a bit of lunch, I'm going to start on my curtains. Well, after I sweep the kitchen floor I will: our kitchen table isn't big enough to lay out the fabric to cut/pin/line it for a few curtains because some of our windows are tall.

Now he says any clothing he finds anywhere near a pair of scissors will be thoroughly inspected before he puts on said clothing. Grin

YKYACW you take pockets off something to use on a pocket for a project. My fiance gave me some of his old Nat'l Guard uniforms. They're still in good shape but they're a bit faded and he's getting new ones soon so he said I can have them. He asked if I could make a "tactical diaper bag", which he says is a diaper bag with plenty of pockets, out of one of the jackets. So I started carefully ripping out the seams of the outer pockets so that I can reuse those.

Just try to find ANY Black Widow stuff. It's so hard! I rather dislike DC, but, sheesh, Marvel, come on.

Funny you should say that: I saw some Black Widow fabric at my local Hancock Fabrics. I didn't get it because it was black and with her black outfit, she didn't stand out on it too well Sad

So I recently learned the boys love wearing the hats and gloves even though it's really nowhere near cold enough for them. It's not even cool around here these days.

From what I understand, ALL Hancock Fabrics are going out of business. Cry It's sad because I love shopping there. Sure, we have a Hobby Lobby and Michael's that are just as close but they just don't have the fabric selection that Hancock does. And the nearest JoAnn's is two hours away. Yeah, I could shop online but it's not the same when you want a fabric but just don't know what. I also love to feel the fabrics as I browse.

One of these days I'm going to have to try my hand at Teesha Moore patches. Maybe I'll try to make my first this weekend, if I have the time to do it. My fiance and I are letting my parents keep Lucius (aka our little froggy) for the weekend so that I can make the blackout curtains for our trailer so that we can save some money on our electric bill this summer. I'm also going to be sewing blanket binding on some fleece to make a lap blanket for my fiance's best friend. Neatly pinning on the binding is the hardest part because I want it to look as close to perfect as possible.

Pray for my sanity. I've only ever left my little froggy for a few hours with his Mimi (fiance's mom) and that was at our place, where I was going right back to him.
