Here are some joint projects cooked up by me, my mom, and sister (together on all)
Ranger Cookies

Ginger Snaps and Pecan Pie Minis

Turtles

The turtles and Ranger Cookies have become a tradition over the past three years. The ginger snaps and mini pies are a new thing but we always make pecan pies.

Challenge: Bag of Holding
Team: Multimedia
Project Name:Neon Phone Warmer Cozy
My sister has an HTC One, which is an all metal phone. It's nice for durability but it's unpleasant to hold during the winter because, like all metal things, it gets extremely cold. So I crocheted up a cozy for it. The cozy is a little short but she wanted it that way.

Trinalocakary, that is a lovely locket and a good way to remember your grandma Cheesy

I put this Supernatural inspired "salt and burn it" charm together for my sister:

Challenge: December Flash Mob
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points: Engineering? I used my own pattern that still needs work before I share it
Project Name: Ugly Sweater Party Vinnie
Project Page Link: here
Brief Description: Vinnie from LJ Phillips' Skins comic is ready for an ugly sweater party. His sweater is covered in Christmas lights and his friend Rabbit gave him a pin in an attempt to cheer him up (Vinnie's not a Christmas person). I don't think it worked. If you're curious, the pin reads "Be Naughty: Save Santa the trip".

Though we're not doing it this year, which I hate, my family has had Ugly Sweater parties in the past. But we didn't call them that: we simply wore the sweaters with heinous designs that my aunt and grandma loved giving everyone Grin

37  Ugly Sweater Party Vinnie in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by FreakieGeekie on: December 15, 2013 11:01:04 AM
LJ Phillips, the artist/writer of my favorite webcomic, hosted a holiday themed contest. This was my entry:

Vinnie is wearing a bright red sweater covered in Christmas lights and his friend Rabbit gave him a pin to try to cheer him up (Vinnie isn't a Christmas person). The pin didn't cheer him up but I think it works to make his sweater uglier. Grin The pin reads: Be Naughty Save Santa the trip".

He was made using my own pattern, which still needs a bit of tweaking, and he stands about 15" tall. I know that's big for an ami but the guy he's based on is well over 6ft tall.
His skin is Red Heart Super Saver Cafe Latte, his sweater is RHSS Cherry Red, his side-burns are RHSS Light Gray and his shoes and hair are RHSS Black. His pants are made of wool/acrylic felt and all of his clothes are completely removable.
The lights on his sweater are Favorite Findings Brite Lights charms.
His eyes are small shank buttons that I covered with air dry clay, painted, then sealed with spray sealant.

40  Perky Peppermint Elf in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by FreakieGeekie on: December 09, 2013 10:13:47 AM
One of my coworkers commissioned me to make this doll for her sister-in-law who collects Christmas elf decorations. However, instead of paying me, I've asked her to give me yarn because I didn't make the pattern but edited the mini ami pattern available on the tuts board here.

Her tutu, scarf, and hat were made using vintage Red Heart Candy Cane yarn in Spearmint. She wanted the elf's entire outfit in that color until I showed her how it worked up. Then she realized it would look very busy.
The green is a vintage Caron Bright Green and the red is Red Heart Super Saver Cherry Red.
For the cuff on her boots and sweater, I made chains long enough to wrap around then sewed them on. For the boots' cuff I left tails on either end for the bows. Her hair ties are single chains tied on very tightly. Her hat and scarf were tacked on so that she wouldn't lose them once she's put in storage. Her eyes and mouth were hand embroidered.
