Prompt: Japan Team:Fandom Project Name: Little stockings In Japan, small things are considered to be "kawaii". And since it's the holiday season, I've been making lots of these cute little stockings (counting these I've made seven). I just made these earlier today. They only take about 45 minutes to make (probably less if I'd stop watching TV while I was making them) and are from a modified mini-stocking pattern I found on Pinterest.
I found a cute pattern for a little crochet stocking. I didn't like how it turned out so I modified it a little bit. The first was made with Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Claret and a vintage white yarn (I lost the label) with an I-hook. I had made two others, one in purple/white and the other in green/red, but I gave them away without photos. Oops! The only reason the red/white one has a pic was the lady I gifted it to said "You should take a picture to show people what you made." The tiny one next to the flash drive was made with Bernat Handicrafter crochet thread in Perfect Red with a B-hook. I'm going to make another tiny stocking and turn them into a pair of earrings. I must thank alwaysinmyroom in advance since she was kind enough to provide me with earring hooks

While I've yet to see Guardians of the Galaxy, I've heard great things about it. However, suereal has seen it and adores Groot. She and I did a personal swap and one of the items I made for her was a little potted Groot. I based him on a video clip which another friend linked me. I also tried following a pattern at some point but couldn't make sense of parts of it and the body was much too small for his head. So I improvised and made it up as I went along He has no armature, not even in his arms, and is stuffed in such a way that he can be posed however she likes. His arms even hold poses pretty well Though he's not 100% accurate, he's still pretty cute and suereal likes him. And that's what counts
Prompt: October Battle Royale- Halloween Team:Fandom Project Name: Tattered curtain decoration At work, I get volunteered to decorate above/around the counter because I'm the only one who's not afraid to climb on top of the counter to reach the ceiling. That being said, my manager bought some cheapy imitation cheesecloth (it's too loose to be the good stuff) and asked me to hang it above the counter so that it appeared as if we had curtains. Easy enough, right? Well, sure, if you can use tape. I was not allowed to use tape on the fabric because it could tear the cheesecloth-like stuff. So, being the industrious little Craftster that I am, I cut a length of black yarn and tied it off to a nail in the wall and across to the hook above the sunglasses display. Then I taped it to the ceiling in a couple of spots and proceeded to wrap/drape the gauzy fabric over it and played around until it looked like passable curtains. It took a little over an hour because this stuff just did NOT want to stay up! But I won in the end and it doesn't look half bad
Thanks y'all! I'm not a graphic person, so if anyone wants to tweek and redraw I'm fine with that (hint hint FG ). I will redo it once I get home on my drawing tablet...and Yup AMIR, I was thinking the white should be blood shot..and maybe blood drops dripping off the needles? And I think each individual eye should have it's own colored iris....that way they can be personalized...
I'll see what I can do!
My scanner cut off small parts for some reason The blood drip on the bottom is to make it seem as if the eye has just been ripped out. Not sure if it makes sense realistically but it looks interesting. The ends of the threads on either side is supposed to look like hearts. If anyone wants something changed, let me know and I'll see what I can do
I'm with roler! Just the description of the ingredients make those breakfast bars appealing :d
Prompt: October Mob- Trick Team: Fandom Project Name: Little Groot
I have no idea what I did to make the image so small Maybe it's the way I saved it... Anyway, the "trick" is making the arms so that they can be moved/posed without wire armature I think it's a pretty neat trick, considering I had tried something like this before and it didn't work out.
I'm behind on posting up the monsters for the 30 Day Monster Challenge because my internet is being weird. But I just HAD to share this one because it looks really nice
The theme was "Myth of Your Heritage" and my heritage is quite a motley mix so I had a wide variety of myths and monsters to choose from. I chose draugr. Draugar (singular is draugr or draug) are like ghosts except that they have physical bodies, which makes them more akin to zombies. However, draugar often have superhuman strength and generally retain some semblance of intelligence, unlike zombies who are typically depicted as weak, unless there is a horde, and relatively stupid. See how much nicer my art looks when I have references? The pose was referenced from a stock photo by Marcus Ranum (http://www.ranum.com), particularly this one. The clothing/armor comes from various images of "Viking" armor.
