Prompt: Flash Mob- Game of Life Team:Fandom Project Name: Oddly Enough (ponysona for suereal) Though this is for a personal swap with suereal, she gave me the go ahead to post pics because she wants me to wait 'til she's in the states again so I can save on shipping and to ensure it's safely delivered. This all started when she saw my ponysona and said she liked her. Naturally, I offered to draw one for her so she gave me ideas and asked if I'd like to do a swap. Of course I said yes and here is the awesomely crafty Mrs. Oddly Makestuff. The scanner ruined the colors: her mane, tail, eyes and hooves are chartreuse and therefore very bright. The orange is also much brighter. The purple, however, is that dark but it's the only purple pencil I had
“Fandom, after all, is born of a balance between fascination and frustration: if media content didn't fascinate us, there would be no desire to engage with it; but if it didn't frustrate us on some level, there would be no drive to rewrite or remake it.” ― Henry Jenkins, Convergence Culture: Where Old and New Media Collide

Prompt: August Battle Royale- Earth vs Air vs Fire vs Water Team: Fandom Event: Fabricology Project Name: Land Shark One of the items for GISHWHES was Jump the Shark. I was going to take it in the literal sense and jump a shark, even though it wasn't a real shark. But my internet went down so I didn't shoot the video since I wouldn't have been able to upload it. I did, however, get a pic of Harley wearing his costume. He usually doesn't mind dressing up but when I put his costume on him, he just gave up.
Prompt: August- Secret Stash Team: Fandom Event: Yarnology Project Name: Unicorns DO fart rainbows Another GISHWHES item. This one said to prove that unicorns really do fart rainbows and that Photoshop was not allowed. As if THAT is a challenge for a Craftster, right? So I dug around in my stash and found some white yarn. I also found a bunch of glitter that I forgot I had. I rarely use glitter as it makes such a mess but I just HAD to have it for my unicorn's hooves and horn. As a result, I'm not allowed to use glitter in the living room because I made a big mess.
Prompt: June- Button Up and August- String Theory Team: Fandom Event: Yarnology (both) Project Name: Elopus vs Wooster Another GISHWHES item! This one said to create a Wooster (wolf/rooster) and an Elopus (elephant/octopus) and have them locked in an epic battle for mascot supremacy. The Elopus, this year's mascot, is my Button Up project as it has button eyes and the Wooster, a previous mascot, is my String Theory project. I only have the one picture of them or I'd post them separately. My sister has the Wooster and the Elopus is in a box as I'm debating sending him off to Misha.
Ooh look at the pretty notecards and the lovely puzzle pieces! And pishaw, I love that shirt and the chair socks! Also, I'd love to have some of those blueberries :d
Prompt: August- Taste the Rainbow Team: Fandom Event: Yarnology Project Name: Rainbow Rave Purse A while back, my manager gave me a copy of McCall's Crochet Treasury. I offered to make a strawberry purse for her granddaughter in exchange. Well, I somehow lost the red yarn **cough**stashateit**cough** so I had to make something different. I showed my coworker a skein of my Red Heart Blacklight yarn and she loved the colors (I love neons, especially pink and green). She loved it even more that the purse glows under black light. I started on this last night and finished it up this morning. I also handed it off this morning, which is why the picture is the way it is (I rushed and just snapped one).
This is my latest creation. A friend linked me to the booby coozie pattern here on Craftster and asked me to make it just because she wanted to see it. I obliged. As I have no use for it, I'll be sending it to Norman Reedus, since he seems to like the wacky things his fans send to him.
PS, my dad says it looks like something tacky you'd get from Hooters.
Prompt: July- Wee Bit Team: Fandom Event: Yarnology Project Name: Booby Coozie I had a friend send me a link to this pattern, asking me to make it just because she wanted to see it. When I asked her what I was supposed to do with it after I made it since I don't drink from a can very often, she said "Well, send it to Norman Reedus! He likes getting weird gifts from fans. Besides, all guys would love to have their own boobs to grab whenever they like!" Can't argue with that sort of logic! It fits the "wee bit" prompt because these are some rather small boobs. Or at least they are to me as most of the women in my family are overly endowed.
ok--kbrison...you who puts together tiny crumbs of fabric to make crumb quilts cringes at tying in loose ends?
We all have our Waterloos and weaving in yarn ends is mine. Feel like I'm at an AA meeting or something similar; Hi, my name is Kathy and I hate weaving in yarn ends, plus I'm addicted to starting projects, but not very good at finishing them. I joined this craftalong so I could get help for my addictions, including, but not limited to: purchasing tons of random fat quarters and yardage even though I may not have a current use for them, buying yarn because it looks pretty or feels so-o-o-o soft, and thinking I need every papercrafting supply and tool available. I think my addictions are better than most; I don't gamble, do illegal drugs, smoke, attend orgies, cheat on my taxes, only occasionally drink alcohol, and never drink and drive. (No, I'm not trying for sainthood.)
A lot of this sounds like something I'd be saying! Lol I'm not sure about the others but I made a hat for my niece and just finished one for my nephew because I wanted to get them done before I forget, again. I've been meaning to make and send them hats since February! Also, they'll have new hats when it gets cold!
Logan's hat was made with Lion Brand Homespun Thick and Quick in Painted Desert.
Prompt: June- Take a Hike Team: Fandom Event: Yarnology Project Name: Logan's hat When I saw this yarn in the store, I said "That reminds me of the pictures I've seen of the painted desert." And, funny enough, the name of this yarn is Painted Desert! I was actually inspired to make the hat because my little nephew lives in Michigan where we all know it can get VERY cold. So two bits of nature inspired me, really
