Challenge: Detention in the Dungeons
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Shadowmere
Project Page Link (if available): here
Brief Description: I had this plastic horse that I had cut the mane and tail of months ago. I picked it up again the other day and spray painted it black then painted its eyes and gave it a new mane and tail so that it could become Shadowmere.
I forgot a before shot **facepalm** so I'll understand if it doesn't count.

Finished this up at about 5AM because I couldn't sleep.

It's Shadowmere, the horse your character can get from Lucien Lachance in TES IV: Oblivion. I figured I would make him for my Dunmer doll while I'm waiting to get to the craft shop to pic up a needle to root her hair.

104  OOAK Shadowmere in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by FreakieGeekie on: March 06, 2013 01:23:52 PM
In my opinion, Shadowmere is the best horse in Oblivion because while the other horses panic, he fights by your side.
When I began to mod a doll so that I would have my Dunmer character, I decided to make Shadowmere for her.
I took a pink plastic horse (a Barbie knockoff) I had bought at Goodwill for a dollar or two and ripped out its tail, cut off its mane (I had ripped out its mane and tail months ago), spray painted it black. After the spray paint dried, I painted his eyes red with acrylic paint then used a gloss sealant on them so that his eyes would have a shine to them like real eyes. After his eyes dried, I gave him a new mane and tail using my own method.
And now my Dunmer ,who is not yet finished, can ride the noble Shadowmere.

Here's the face up I gave my MH CAM girl:

Her eyes are a bit on the large size but that's what I was going for.

WIP of my Monster High Create-A-Monster doll. She was a werewolf, now she's a dark elf:

I got it off!
It was a happy accident: I had started to paint her face with water diluted acrylics but had it a little too thick. So I tried to scrub it off with a mild soap and toothbrush. It still didn't want to come off so I grabbed my acetone nail polish remover and set to work scrubbing her face with a cotton ball. A few minutes later and voila! Her face was clean!

Class: Alchemy
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Amber's Chicken Pasta
Brief Description: I am a whiz of a witch when it comes to cooking and I love to come up with my own concoctions. This dish is very simple: whole wheat pasta, pasta sauce (preferably homemade but I used store bought for this one), chicken breast, fresh parmesan (or the cheap, if you prefer), fresh mozzarella (or shredded), and a pinch of red pepper flakes (totally optional: I like a bit of heat; you could also use fresh cayenne, if you'd like). (Note: I prepared this on Friday but didn't get a picture so I've used an old photo that I had on my phone.)

110  Monster High CAM make-up mess up *Now fixed plus how I did it!* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by FreakieGeekie on: March 01, 2013 09:35:55 PM
So while removing my MH CAM werewolf girl's make-up I slipped up and smeared it terribly (her ears are like that because she's going to be an elf).

I have tried acetone nail polish remover but it only took off a little. I even soaked her face in "Dawn overnight soaking power with bleach alternative" for five minutes then scrubbed her face with a toothbrush. That took off a bit more but soaking it a second time didn't take off any more of it.
Can she be salvaged or did I just ruin her?
I have seen where customizers have used paint to change a doll's skin tone but can't find out what sort. I had a friend tell me that she read some dollers use acrylics mixed with mod podge but would that really work for the whole body or only the head?
Any help would be appreciated.
