Aw you guys are too nice
The table is one of those melamine I think? You know the fake wood top. All I did was sand it down a bit to rough it up. Then I primed it wtih water based primer but I used a melamine blue paint. I drew it all myself and then painted with acrylics. Then I put around 3 or 4 coats of water based polyurethane and that was it. It is holding up very well too. I painted chairs to match. I love to do that to furniture. Here is another outdoor table I did. My son dragged hom a round piece of wood with a hole in the middle and I cannot sometimes control my urge to paint everything lol. I painted it, used an outdoor plant pot as a base and put a candle in the hole and voila..nice new table. Painting is my first love and I have sold many paintings on EBAY to Can, US, UK, Netherlands. I love to paint. Take a look atmy portfolio by clicking on the link belowsometime and you'l see some of my work. Sorry for rambling. Here is the other table.
ps. gagagabag...I think I still have the drawings, if you want I'll scan them on here for you. Let me know.
