21  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: v-days gift for ex that you want back? on: January 29, 2006 08:30:17 AM
What can you do craft-wise?
22  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: v-days gift for ex that you want back? on: January 29, 2006 08:11:51 AM
Oh, I thought you meant you gave him something and wanted it back. This seems much less daunting!

...I'll think of something. I will. I WILL!

What sort of circumstances broke you up?  Because I think that may matter.

...if I may ask, that is.
23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: You know you're a craftster when... on: January 26, 2006 11:36:34 AM
(ps I'm bringing 4 sets of needles and yarn to fill 5 projects for the long flights)

Wonders if you are even allowed to bring a knitting needle on board the plane ie in your carry on luggage.

Yep, you can! At least on Airtran, anyway. =)
24  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: A slight variation on duct tape roses (with tutorial) on: January 23, 2006 11:51:31 AM
I understand you variation fold, but don't know how you got to the 1/2 diamond.  Can anyone help, or am I being dense.

I second that. There's something I'm missing, and I really want to try this? Help, help please? =)

^_^
25  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: No! I won't make/fix/sew/knit your....!! on: January 20, 2006 11:55:35 AM
I just tell them I don't really have the money "right now" to pay for the supplies, and if they offer to pay for yarn (for example) then... you know... (like CelticCoyote said) keep the excess, fuel your obession, right? =)

I hate when things like that happen. When you see someone trying to do something kinda crafty but you know what they're doing won't work or won't look good.

Bah, this reminds me- I'm in an art class and we are cross stitching and one girl wants to make her border these horribly tacky colors and it clashes so grossly and they're all so clueless about yarn and scissors and GAH! It makes me die a little on the inside.

*explode*
27  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Re: Did I stuff my amigurumi too much? on: January 18, 2006 03:16:29 PM
Though dryer lint is reeeeally flammable. People carry it specifically to make fires. So, be careful! =)
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: 18 Seconds Before Sunrise earflap hat on: January 13, 2006 11:47:45 AM
Why is it called "18 Seconds Before Sunrise?" Is it some allusion to... something... that... I mean... eh??

It's very pretty though. *goes back to knitting a stupid rectangle as always*
29  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Re: Stop showing me those new replies, Mr. New Replies Page. on: January 13, 2006 11:10:51 AM
What I've started doing is bookmark all the threads I'm interested in, even if I post in it.  Then I only check my bookmarks, and then if the thread starts going off topic or I'm not interested anymore, I just delete the bookmark.  I don't even bother with "New Replies to your posts" anymore.

That's a really good idea... I may have to start doing that. =)
30  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Re: Stop showing me those new replies, Mr. New Replies Page. on: January 13, 2006 11:03:41 AM
I noticed just as I made a post 30 seconds ago that if you go to "Additional options" under the text box there is a checkbox for replies, so if you do not click on "notify me of replies" it may do something, but I'm not too too sure if thats whatt it does.

Good heavens! I never noticed that. =)

But I looked and it isn't checked automatically so that makes no sense.
