Finally completed this cat cushion (i had gotten lazy, and couldn't be bothered knitting the back so it took a while).  The pattern has since disappeared from the web. It was only archived until this month, but thankfully i saved it, so i can now knit the other nine panels to make the matching rug.  Hopefully i should have it done by Winter 2009!

I saw this really great pattern on http://www.domiknitrix.com/knittingpatterns/malcolmx_knittingpattern.cfm so I decided to make it for a friend.

I am going to frame it for them so they can hang it next to their poster of him.
It only took about six days, although i had to backtrack a couple of times because i got distracted by the television and the cat.

The first season of Wonder Woman has just come out on DVD over here, so i thought it would be fun to make some WW power bands to celebrate.

It was bloody hard to try and find a star motif on the web so i had to end up making it on graph paper - thankfully it turned out okay (or so i think, they look a bit better than they do in this photo).  I hope the people they are passed onto like them as well!

I have been making these for a while now, as the list of friends wanting one keeps growing .  The pattern is from the book "Knitted Cats" by Joy Gammon, but this is the first one i have knitted in stockinette so i could try to replicate the pattern of the cat who belongs to the person i made it for.

Hi all!
I have just completed the first panel of a catface afghan rug at http://www.acrilan.com/patterns/aug04/catfaceafghan.html

It's going to be a bit of a long term project for me  and this first panel is going to turn out to be the matching cushion as i didn't leave enough wool at the back while changing colours and therefore it's a bit bunched up.
Does anyone have any ideas for what to do with the back of the rug?  I don't really want to have to knit squares for the back of each panel, because frankly i don't have the patience!  Is there a good bit of material one can use, or any other tips?
