1  Old Polka Dot Tee and New Apple Fabric become Dress/Nightie in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by heather_as on: May 24, 2008 01:28:03 PM
This is my first time sewing anything for myself to actually wear without a pattern (and even that was pj pants or simple skirt).

The top part is part of a t-shirt that I cut up and the rest is just a new cute jersey fabric I picked up.

I'm used to making toys (plushies) and little accessories and such so it was fun to try out clothing.

I'll probably just wear it to bed. Cheesy

2  Thrift store placemats become camera's new home in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by heather_as on: March 09, 2008 08:01:40 PM
I found these quilted placemats at the thrift store for 25 cents each a while ago and they've just been sitting around while I tried to figure out what I wanted to use them for.

Then my camera became homeless.

So I made this little zippy pouch for it!  And it's padded thanks to these old placemats!
(I just happened to have a matching zipper and lining cotton hanging around.)

My camera and I are very happy.

Thanks for looking!

3  Re: The Banner / Logo critique thread! in Selling Crafts on Etsy.com by heather_as on: October 03, 2007 12:22:55 AM
I kind of like the "washy" look of your banner erindezeeuw.  might be a personal preference but I think it's cute in a whimsical kind of way.

I also really dig the robot squid logo, good job Smiley

What do you think of my banner/logo?

5  Girl with pink dress and brown book in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by heather_as on: September 22, 2007 03:54:19 PM
I made this with the very last of my fimo supply a while ago.
She was a second and lesser attempt at a clay girl; the first was a ballerina that I gave away as a gift before getting pictures.

Comments welcome Smiley

6  Re: Felt cat-like dudes in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by heather_as on: September 22, 2007 03:17:36 PM
P.S.  I quit the job but I'm still making more because it's fun.

I've just started a new job that I'm not sure if I like yet so in order to stitch away stress...I made these...

There are six here but I've since made four more...I'm starting to think I have no use for 10 little guys so I may try to unload a few in the near future.  It kind of warms my heart to see them all together on an old chair though.
Hope you like them.

Edit: Here's the full batch Smiley
