11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question on Sewing Yoga Pants? on: December 31, 2012 05:35:05 AM
Use a ball-point needle made for knits and a narrow zig-zag.  Use the longest stitch length and reduce the pressure on your pressure foot so the fabric feeds through easily and doesn't stretch.
Or, if you're too scared to use a machine, hand hem them.
I'm a novice sewer. So I would need to use a different (zig zag?) foot to do this as well? Thanks for the help!

What are your beads made of?
Well I was thinking of painting over some wooden ones, or just buying unfinished wooden ones and painting them.

Hi,
I really want to paint some beads with Martha Stewart's metallics acrylic paint, but I noticed it says 21 days to cure. 21 days!? has anyone else used this or is there a way to make the paint set sooner?

Hello all,

I am a novice sewer and I just wanted some feedback before I attempt to hem my very long (but favorite) yoga pants. Since they are made of a cotton/polyester/spandex mix. I have never used a zig zag foot (if that is going to be required) so I would love some tips you may have so I don't ruin my baby!

I bought a cutting board at JoAnn and noticed later that it's labeled a "fleece cutting board". Does this differ from other cutting boards?
