Thanks for the advice. I tried switching to a slightly thicker version and that has helped so far. I will try reaming the beads as well. Thanks so much!
Ok, another question. I am big into jewelry crafting lately, but this is my first project using stretch cord (stretch magic). It seems like when I go to finish bracelets the cord breaks, sending beads flying everywhere. At first I thought it was crimp beads (even tho I've seen a few projects calling for them), so I stopped using them. Then I thought maybe it was the knots breaking, but I realized it's breaking in the middle. Could I just be pulling it too tight? It just seems so fragile, if I go to put a finished bracelet on and it breaks. I also read in the instructions that you should stretch the cord before using it. I didn't really do that, but would that cause it to break so easily?
I bought some clearance thick faux leather cord at Hobby Lobby, just to realize it's all kinked up. Same thing with bolo cord. Is there a way to salvage this or should I just return it?
