1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Sewing to save money? on: November 27, 2005 07:59:08 PM
Someone I know brought up the idea of learning how to sew so she could copy clothing that she wanted in the store, thereby saving money.

I don't personally sew, so I don't know this for sure, but I have heard from a number of people that sewing your own clothes really doesn't save you that much money. Is this true? It would make sense to me, since I have found it to be true for knitting.

I just keep thinking of Craft Corner Deathmatch: "Because it's cheaper and easier to just buy stuff!" I thought I would ask people who actually sew!
