1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Magic Square Loom on: November 15, 2009 03:44:39 AM
Hello,
In a collection of yarns my aunt randomly picked up at a garage sale is a bag with 3 different different sized metal Magic Square looms with a booklet and a metal needle. I have NEVER seen anyone use these, but the example photos and designs in the booklet looks really neat and easy. BUT, the HOW TO part is VERY confusing. Has anyone used these before? Do you know of any video or photo HOW TOs?

I want to be able to give this a try at least once before i say to forget it and do away with it.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Help! Mock Wrap Top on: February 08, 2008 11:10:18 PM
A Friend Requested to me to make her a mock wrap top that makes her very boob-a-licious, so she can wear something nice when we go to the club. Well, as i have never made this kind of shirt before....let alone another shirt for someone else (someone else bigger than me) i dont know how to go about it. I really dont want to go to the store and buy a pattern, i've never used one before.

I found a TUTE Here But since this post is so old i doubt that she has any of the pictures still.
I've looked pretty much all over here and cant find any other tutes and have tried other sites, and they all confuse me.

She wants this: http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/uploads/partners/anusha/500/peony_wrap_top.jpg
Can anyone help? I need it soon because i have already wasted enough time looking around and i hate having people wait for my slow ass.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Old Holey Socks on: August 04, 2004 07:09:40 PM
I have a whole crap load of socks, a bunch of cool socks that i loved, but have holes in the heels. I was just about to throw them away, but i got so sad cuz well..i love them. They're a variety going from purple with spiders on them, or winter-print or flamed.

Does anyone know what i can make with them?
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Duct Taped Tshirt on: May 13, 2004 06:14:01 PM
I had the idea to make this shirt for a while, but i never really had the guts the make it. Well one night i did. I didnt really measure myself, i just layed the XL shirt down, layed on it and marked off where my sides were, then added an inch or two. Then added duct tape.

Heres some pictures:
(oh i edited out my face cuz i didnt have any makeup on and i looked like crap cuz i was a little sick)

It doesnt look like much when it's on a hanger, but when i put it on, i looks awesome (well i think it does)
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Help, need ideas on: April 05, 2004 04:23:28 PM
(i accidently posted this int eh wrong thread, so i had to delete it and repost it here)

So i found this cool blacklight fabric. And since a close friend of mine is gonna be giving me some stuff that i can craft with. I was thinking about making her a braelet witht eh fabric. but i found a problem, I cant think of a way to get the fabric onto the band.
the bnd was originally part of a belt, so it's kind of thick, and well....our sewing machine would never be able to get through it, so how can i get the fabric on and have it stay on rather it gets wet or not. i was thinking some airplane glue, but it may either put bubbles or eventually ware off.

Does anyone have any ideas (that are cheap)

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / How to make a guitar strap? on: January 24, 2004 04:03:17 PM
Hey, crafters and craftettes,

Say hi to ur new newbie lol Anyways...

....My dad wants me to make him a new guitar strap for his guitar cuz his keeps slipping off the little peg, and i cant think of anything else but a tie, but he's kinda big so a regular tie would be to contricting. I have some neat patterns on the ties, and i wanna include them in on the strap, but i cant really find anything that would be strong and cheap (on a very strict budget since i have no job)

Any Ideas??
