2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Calidum - It's hot on: January 15, 2013 06:17:24 PM
It's summer and my lawn is dead. It's brown and yellow and crunchy. Even the bindis and dandelions have given up. ~(>_<~)
So I've commiserated it with this piece

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Dresser Revamp on: January 02, 2013 07:41:45 PM
Spotted this lovely beast driving home.

Now I couldn't very well leave it to it's fate. So home it came with me.
But it was in really rough condition. Some borers had even had a go at it.
But after a nice clean. And I mean a really good clean. This actually took a couple of weeks and a lot of gumption.

It has a new home (^^)

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Octavius on: January 02, 2013 05:42:51 PM
It's a monster from the depths!!! Oh no!! He comes for snuggles! Ahhhhh!!!!........

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Yarny Bangles! on: December 21, 2012 12:53:17 AM
Been seeing these around the interwebs of late so I thought I'd have a shot. After a couple of less than exemplary attempts I've made a set for my sister-in-law for Christmas.

I did kinda get the pattern from here -> http://www.favecrafts.com/Bracelets/Crochet-Bangle-Bracelet# but I'm still not that great at following patterns so mostly just made it up in the end. Here's hoping she likes them :3
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Rain Baubles! on: December 19, 2012 02:25:06 AM
It's so hot. Too hot. And humid.
Inspired by the incessant discussion of precipitation and the lack thereof I made this little piece (^^)

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pioneer Speakers Revamp (Pic Heavy) on: December 19, 2012 01:55:54 AM
Picked up some speakers at garage sale for $10

The actual tweeters were thoroughly ruined.

And I happen to have a dock floating about.

An afternoon later...

As for the other one and another afternoon.

And so from the ashes of decades of neglect we now have some lovely retro pieces for the loungeroom *(ノ^_^)ノ*
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Clam! on: December 19, 2012 01:10:56 AM
It's seafood season and while he is inedible he makes up for it by being adorable. He's actually my second attempt with amigurumi. The first being a radish the cat claimed before I could photograph it....

Got the pattern here -> http://amigurumibyknotty.blogspot.com.au/2010/05/clam-amigurumi.html
