1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Evelyn's Nursery [IMG HVY] on: February 18, 2009 05:23:22 PM
I'm in the three week countdown to due date and I finished the nursery this week.

The Ikea Gulliver crib and Boliden chair are the only new piece of furniture. We already owned the Ikea Lerberg shelf and Brondby rug and reused it for the nursery. The changing table was given to us. The crib bedding is Dwell Studio's Farm Girl theme. The shelf has Sterilite drawers for clothes. We are going to try to use this instead of a dresser.

I made most of the wall hangings. There are swatch portraits made from fat quarters and embroidery hoops, a sonogram silhouette portrait, and wall art made from canvases, acrylic paint, and fabric scraps.

I used a great profile shot from an ultrasound and traced a stencil that I then cut from a fat quarter. I cut a rectangle from a second fat quarter and ironed both. Then I put them in an 8x10 frame.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Aunt scarf on: April 18, 2007 04:52:35 PM
My aunt gave me some yarn to crochet a scarf for her. I had to buy a new crochet hook because it called for one that was bigger than any I owned. Even then, I wish that I had used an even bigger hook, because the scarf seems a bit stiff to me.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pleated Purse on: March 18, 2007 04:12:52 PM
Just finished this:

It is based on the pattern from this post:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=156450.0. Mine is smaller and I crochet handles.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / a sunbeam to warm you on: January 17, 2007 04:55:47 PM
I just finished the Irish Mist Stole from Doris Chan's book, Amazing Crochet Lace.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / How a coaster becomes an earflap on: January 11, 2007 11:19:17 AM

My sister got a hat with earflaps for Christmas, but she didn't really like it. So, I looked around and got some ideas and made this for her. (The pattern for the heart came from a coaster pattern.)
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Fuzzy wuzzy on: December 31, 2006 06:46:18 PM
I got some yarn for Christmas that I wasn't too sure about. It was a pain in the butt to crochet, but I finally completed this cute hat.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pretty 'lil sweater on: December 15, 2006 08:11:02 AM

I finished this about a month ago, but I have been so busy in my first semester of grad school that I didn't have time to post it.
9  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Frosted Cupcake on: July 21, 2006 08:05:58 AM
I finished it today!

I made it with some yarn that my grandmother handed down to me with a bunch of other crocheting supplies. It has a little bit of shine to it, but you can tell from the picture. I added more rows than the pattern said and it still isn't as long as the picture in the book, but I don't care because I love it! I haven't added any ribbon yet, don't really know what color to use. Any suggestions?
10  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Fit to be Tied, Short 'n Sweet, and Fat Bottom on: May 28, 2006 12:08:40 PM
I've been busy and have just gotten around to taking pictures.

Fit to be Tied in Heather Grey Caron Simply Soft and lined with a chinese silk remnant. I didn't realize how hard silk was to sew.

Short 'n Sweet in Heather Grey Caron Simply Soft. It is really hard to take pictures of yourself wearing something. Sorry for the poor quality.

Fat bottom in Winter White Caron Perfect Match. I just finished this today. I was inspired by this thread:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=85662.0 to add the crocheted handle and flap.

Oh, and I almost have the back done on the Prepster. I keep taking breaks because I get bored with it very easily.
