2  My first Redondo skirts with made to match t-shirts. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: August 04, 2008 02:49:47 PM
First one made of stretch knit and I love it much.

And a second with a single fabric in the skirt and coordinating waistband.

3  Re: Added action shot in last post. Ladybug dress with homemade bias edges. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: June 22, 2008 01:15:41 PM

It fits her so perfectly.  By far the best I've done with fit and style.

4  Ottobre Outfit for the birds! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: May 17, 2008 11:48:16 AM
This pattern was super easy to do and I think it turned out adorable.  I am totally in love with biased tape edges these days.

And in this shot you can see the matching shorts a bit better.

Latest version.  I love this pattern!  I've been thinking of ways that I could add sleeves to it so I could use it in the winter as well.  The skirt is so full and yet so easy to attach with no gathering.

New Look Pattern 6688 which is so simple to do!  Instead of lining the top though I made bias tape from the co-ordinating fabric.  This dress went together in less than an hour.

7  Re: My version of the pettiksirt. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: April 25, 2008 12:11:37 PM
She is totally cute in the pettiskirt.  The top picture looks like she was kinda pissed at something...but she's still really cute!

LOL yeah she had just woken up and didn't really want to play model for mommy.

Here is a photo of the skirt sans child.  I used three yards of tulle.  This is an 18 month size so you'd need more (and widen the strips from the tut) for an older child.

8  Smocked Dress for Older DD in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: April 25, 2008 09:49:22 AM
Here is my first completed smocking project.  It is so not perfect but I think it came out okay for a beginner.  I cursed through most of it swearing I'd never do another one but I'm sure I will.   Cheesy

9  My version of the pettiksirt. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: April 25, 2008 09:47:18 AM
Inspiration and link to tut came from http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=240577.0.  But I couldn't find nylon chiffon and couldn't stomach doing all the edges with bias tape so I used cotton knit for the waistband and tulle for the skirt.  I think it came out pretty darned cute!   Wink

10  Blue Toile Dress and Hat in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by funda62 on: March 12, 2008 06:37:59 PM
Pattern is a 1972 Simplicity, hat pattern is a freebie on About.com.  Toile fabric is from Wal-Mart and cream is vintage fabric that has a hand stitched hem which I managed to keep on the blouse.  DD loves this one so much she cried at bedtime having to take it off.
