greenchick--- you weren't kidding when you said it was forgiving.  although it smells like bigfoot's armpit at the moment, i am in love!! wooo hooo.... felting rocks.

on the CC i threw in a strand of this sparkly stuff and i absolutely love it.  the zippered pillowcase thing did the trick in 10 minutes flat.  wow!!!  although with my obsessive tendencies, i must admit i opened the washer about 6 times to check and see how it was coming.  

Look-- i put it on my bed to get a good pic and my kitty, Binks just couldn't stop nosing at it.

so i am knittin up one of these cute girls, and am wondering about the "knit til sides measure 10 inches" thing...  is it 10 inches from the middle of the bag bottom (aka bag folded in half) or is it 10 inches from where the side seam meets the bag bottom?

also, some people here have said that 10 inches was too much (CC should be added sooner) and some have said 10 inches wasn't long enough...

any advice so that i can learn from your wisdom??

... I finished the hat last night and am out to buy more yarn for another  I'm also going to sew a couple of buttons on the front of the hat to jazz it up a bit.  Thanks again!

ok creative peeps,  i need some ideas...

my friend matt needs my help in brainstorming how to make the sleeves longer on this really fun and tacky western shirt he HAD to have.
 
the thing is, he's got these arms that go on forever and ever and the bottom of the cuffs hit him about 3 inches higher than he would like.   nice, huh?

Here's his email to me explaining more of what he would like:

Anyway, I really want the sleeves to be ultra long so even when I play the guitar the cuff will still be way down on my hands.  
And in an ideal world I'd want the cuffs redone to be bigger so they slide up the hand and i'd love to have five or six snaps instead of three and a really big flare on the cuff with the cuff being in a teardrop shape when snapped... as opposed to round.  Know what I mean?  Kind of like a "french cuff"

Sooo, i am thinking that this sounds very complicated and i should forget it?!   How do you put snaps on?  how the heck do you sew a custom cuff??  Can you all think of other options here??
