So My mum gave me her pink semi-fluffy bathrobe she had had when she gave birth to me and then again to my sister ((21 years ago!!))((geez, thats a long time..)) Anyway I had this bathrobe for ages. Sometimes i'd wear it for the use it was intended for - as a bathrobe, but other times i'd wear it as a pianting smock (( a really strange bright one)) and then one day i decided i wanted to cut it up. I made a hooded cropped jacket out of it ((using the original sleeves)), a kitty hat and some semi-fluffy knickers!

So i once re-covered this old cushion with scraps of fabric i had left over from my six hundered bijillion million sewing crazes. It used 2 sit on my bed but one day it was left on the floor of my living room and stayed there, becoming the floor cushion everyone wanted to sit on. But one person ((i use that term very loosely)) claimed sole ownership over it one day and never allowed anyone at all to sit on it ANYMORE! IT WAS HIS!

The up-side - this annoys me because the flip-side is so much cooler. Jack will not sit on the flip-side tho, it must be the 'correct; way up for him to even consider settling down on it. the checks are leftover from some very ugly 3/4 shorts i made

i have no idea why i even bought the supre shirt. It was so lame. and i hate slogan shirts that everyone is wearing. Anyway, the shirt was black and said U ARE REALLY ANNOYING across it written up like an optomertrist eye-chart. So i cut it up and joined it to a white bonds shirt. I used the top part of the shirt as the waistband and the middle of the logo as the pocket. i had some press-stud tape kicking around so i sticthed it to the top of the pocket. I cut from the neckline down the sleeve on both sides and sticthed some left over black stretchknit from the shirt and gathered it a little. On one sleeve i put on 2 black buttons that reminded me of my friend's toy cat's eyes.

the shirt looks a little thin and wrinkly because i had just washed it and wanted to take a photo of it before i hung it out.

I lopped off the legs of a pair of white jeans tim owned but swore he never wore. I certainly hope not. Anyway. I cut a long rectangle from one of the legs and made it into a ruffle and stitched black netting over it and attatched the ruffle to the skirt. On the back i sewed black netting over the bum pockets and added little ruffles to the top of them. Across one pocket i sewed an iron on i had once seriously messed up ((it was part of a The Transplants iron on i had made for a shirt for Tim but when it came to the ironing on part... i screwedup big time)) Anyway, i salvaged the 'one blood' scroll and stitched it to my bum.

yes, i have made heaps of things. this is my 9th(?) post so far showing you things I made. I took photos you see

My Precious are a singaporean band that just recently came to my city! WOOO! They dress very, i don't know, normal-ish, but then when they play they are like posessed! They have 2 girl singers and sound VERY Jack off Jill inspired. YEY for angsty screaming chicks!

Anyway, i bought a band shirt there and it was, like all band shirts, way too big for me. So i just cut off the sleeves and neck, added some elastic across the top and made it into a long tube top. i love it and it looks great on!

I loved it because the logo of them is a strange bunny-like creatuer with wings and wrapped around it is a snake trying to devour the bunny starting with its head. In the snake's head however is a syringe.


The second top  I HATE . I was bored  the other night and had some left over material from a red stretchkit nightie i butchered recently. So i made it into a t-shirt corset-ish top but i think i hate it so much because it's a little shirt. Maybei should give it to someone with a shorter torso. it has red cord doing up the front a red nautical-ish star in the middle on the back. I don't like it.

Hmm, this is an old shirt, one of the first I ever made properly. I would never weae it now, it's just not my style anymore. Anyway. it's made from creamy broderie anglaise that I dyed with coffee!! YES! i dyed the ribbon with it too. it's fitted at the bust and just under it it flares out al ittle. At teh back it does up with an upside-down zip and is left open from about the middle of my back down. I designed it all by myself when i was about 13 ((it hurt so much to put it on today for the photo - i have boobs now))  and my mum helped me draft it.

These are 3/4 length and very very cute. I wore them with my Heart/testicle shirt to the My Precious gig last week. My sister emboridered the GHERKIN on the bottom of the leg ((Gherkin was a joke me and my sister had about kittens i think...))

The pockets' lining are made from a pillowcase i found that had chickens all over it ((cute ones too!)) and the fly is hot pink! I made these shorts about a year ago and never wore them because they sat funny on me. So last week i sewed in some elastic at the back to bring it in a little ((make it less like i was 'standing in a bucket' as my mum would say)) and i added black bias-binding for the belt loops so yey!

Last week I saw Wednesday 13 in Brisbane. IT WAS REALLY REALLY GREAT!
I loved it.
Anyway, this isn't about my adventures there, but what i wore there.
There is a shop in Brisbane called Underworld Realm. Lots of the 'goth' kids call it Overpriced Realm. I don't find it that expensive. Maybe if all the Crows actually got jobs they could afford things like this. Anyway.

I saw this awesome black and red tartan shirt dress. i looked at it and smiled, "I CAN MAKE THAT!" i said laughing. Then realised the lady didn't approve of me ripping off her items so I quickly moved to the next aisle where she couldn't see me. I studied the dress carefully and realised it was so simple! SO SIMPLE!.

When i got home i found some black fabric i had got from the thrift shop for $1!! Woo! and grabebd a pattern for a cow-girl style shirt. I lengthened it and made the sleeves into cap sleeves. Instead of tartan I used this pirate flanelette i had leftover from making tim pj pants. I added red nettign here and there too fior kicks.

Anyway, i had this lying around for a while as i seriously couldn't be bothered putting a zip/buttons/press-studs on it to do up the front. The day before Wednesday 13 rolled around and i realised I HAD NOTHING TO WEAR. Then i remembered the dress, pulled it out, stitched velcro down the front and painted MRS 13 across the back.

It was awesome I looked so hot. I got off the train at the Valley with my boys and i saw a girl staring at me as i walekd past. She said to her friend "I LIKE THAT!" and the boys did me the courtesy of looking around and confirmed she was talking about me ((because I'm too cool to look around when people talk about me.. lol)) and while in line i got heaps of compliments. I told Pig i loved him and he said he Loved me too. Lol ((pig is the lead guitarist and sang to me almost the entire concert)).

Plus they all signed the MRS 13 part so that made me super happy! I'm pretty sure the pcs do not do it justice

Ok so here's the story of the Heart That Looked like A testicle.

One day, Ari needed to whip up a skirt to wear to her friend's gig. On the bum of it she was going to paint a heart with the words "I :HEART: Mary Magdalene((that's the band))" around it. Well she painted the heart and decided the skirt looked better without it. So the Heart laid around for a while. One day i found it and pulled it out to look at it when Tim walks past and starts laughing his head off.
"What?" i asked innocently. because i am a very innocent person.
"IT LOOKS LIKE A TESTICLE!" he laughed, "A REALLY BIG ANGRY ONE"
I stared at it and almost cried. It did look like a testicle. But then i started to laugh, it was pretty funny. and then i laughed more because i though of people looking at the skirt and thinking "I TESTICLE MAry Magdalene" instead of hearting them. So then The I TESTICLE MARY MAGDLANE craze started. I informed the band and they laughed their heads off and we told all our friends and it wasn't long before almost everyone's msn name was "I Testicle Mary magdlane"

So anyway, no one had actualy ever seen this testicle/heart, they had only ever heard about it. So last week i decided to make use of it and i made a 'corset' like those t-shirt ones with ribbon doing up the back and a big fat angry testicle/heart on the front...

I made this ages and ages and ages ago to wear to a gig.
I cut the top off a black pleather skirt my dad had bought me a fair while ago and the bottom of an army-green kilt i had thrif-shopped for $3! and joined them together. I sticthed 2 long army-green zips across the joining seam also.
