3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Modern Tatted Lace Doily on: September 16, 2013 06:16:05 PM
I couldn't really find a better place to post this, so I'm posting here. If there is a better location, please let me know. Smiley

For the past 2.5 years I've been addicted to tatting lace. And for the past month, I've been addicted to this project. A tatted lace doily made using The Clover Doily pattern. At 9 inches across, this is the biggest thing I've ever tatted.

I really enjoy taking something ordinary, almost boring, such as a doily, and modernizing it through the use of bold colors.

Check out my blog to see the entire process (well, most of the rows). http://modernlyvintage.com/my-biggest-tatting-project-the-clover-doily/

Thanks for looking!

8  Florida / Florida: Central / Re: Looking for a tatting teacher on: June 20, 2013 10:49:40 AM
Hi! I'm in Orlando (well, suburb of - Apopka) and I tat. I've been tatting for about 2.5 - 3 years now and can probably help. Were you trying to learn needle or shuttle tatting? I use a shuttle. Smiley
9  Florida / Florida: Central / Re: Orlando Meetup for Craftsters on: June 20, 2013 10:48:15 AM
I know this is a little late (as in it's no longer May), but I'm an Orlando area crafter and would love to come play at the next event / get together you have. Smiley I technically live in Apopka, but can travel to Seminole & Orange counties, no problem.

Thanks!
Julie
