171  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Desk-less Drawer on: May 25, 2005 09:35:52 PM
An ottoman! Shocked Wow, I really really never would have thought of that.  That's an awesome idea.

And yeah, I'd probably make a shelf out of it, but I'm kinda low on wall space.  (I live in a tiny, tiny house, which is why so much of my stuff is under my bed.)

So, I found this drawer.  It's a great drawer.  Plain, wooden, sturdy.  About 20" long, 10" across, 8" deep.  I was thinking I could use it to keep stuff under my bed, but does anyone have any other ideas?  Ideas for potential decorations would also be appreciated (though it's pretty cool the way it is).
173  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Lost/Alias (J.J. Abrams) Swap? on: May 24, 2005 03:58:53 PM
This is an awesome idea.  I know a ton of people watch Lost, and there's so much material there for craftiness!  Come on, people!  Palm trees, airplanes, monsters, creepy people.  And Alias!  Rambaldi!  Seriously, someone needs to organize the heck out of this.   Grin
174  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / Re: Recycled Beads on: May 22, 2005 09:52:27 PM
If you have a Claire's or Icing store in your local shopping mall, they sometimes have "10 for 5" sales -- that is, 10 clearance items for $5.  I've been known to buy $10 or $20 worth of incredibly ugly and broken jewelry specifically for the parts and beads.  It's awesome, if you can catch them when they're having a sale.
