21  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag for storing bedding.... on: January 19, 2009 07:02:37 PM
I have a comforter for the first time in years. I was saving the plastic zippered bag it came in so that I had something to store it in during the summer. I don't really like storing in plastic, and Mom suggest I make something with cotton fabric. Well, I had some sheets that didn't fit my bed properly, but I couldn't get rid of them because I love the pattern. They're 100% cotton!!!

Finished project holding four pillows:

22  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / I love freezer paper and my Mom hates Armadillos... on: January 10, 2009 05:00:04 PM
Slight back story: My Mom hates Armadillos. They tear up her garden, flowers, etc. One even bangs on the down spout at night when she's trying to sleep. She shoots them and drags them off to a place she has termed her Armadillo graveyard. Now, I'm not a big fan of this, but she's my Mom and I love her.

So, for her birthday this year, I broke out the freezer paper and made her a couple of shirts. (Paint's a bit more even once it dried.)

I also made a card:

hehehe! I had a little too much fun with this one!
23  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First Socks!!!! on: January 10, 2009 04:52:44 PM
These are my first socks!!! I felt I couldn't consider myself a well-rounded knitter until I tackled this. Not bad, if I do say so myself!!! I am new to the blocking concept. Could someone give me some advice on sock-blocking? *snicker*

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitty's Calorimetry and One Skien's Unisex Gloves on: January 10, 2009 04:48:46 PM
Gauge and I are not friends. The Caloimetry was knitted twice and one of the gloves mostly twice (with altered pattern the second time). Regardless, I'm happy with the results!

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitty's knitted purse in green.... on: December 26, 2008 05:58:59 PM
And lined! This project was started and stopped several times, but it's finished now, and I love it!

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Ravenclaw Scarf on: December 26, 2008 05:38:47 PM
I made a Ravenclaw scarf for a friend for Christmas. I'm pretty proud! It's double-sided (knitted in the round) and over 6ft in length (AKA took forever)!!!

The scarf:

I printed a patch on cotton and wrapped them up together:

This is everything wrapped up. Note the tag:

And just because I can't get enough of a theme, this is the tag unfolded:

Smiley

Now, to make one for me....

Angel Needed! She was supposed to receive a baby quilt, but nothing was sent!!! Please help if you can!

First to PM me gets it!

Thanks!

Some additional information from the intended recipient:

"Just as a little extra info for you she was going to make me a baby quilt, that was going to be used as a bed spread for a crib with the size 120x60 cm, which is about 47 1/4" x 23 1/2", and I would be so happy if there is an angel who would be willing to make something like that!"

Also, I should not that she lives in Sweden, so for many this would be an overseas package. It's going to take a very special angel for this one!!!
30  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Clothing swap on: June 14, 2008 04:05:51 PM
Had an idea for a swap I would like to organize, and I wanted to see if there would be any interest. I'm interested, so that's one!

Ok, here's the deal: the swap would be for one large and two smalls. The large being some article of clothing, and the smalls being some coordinating accessories. I would match partners based on what they are able to make and what they would like to receive. I would also try to match them based on measurements, just because it's a bit easier (I believe) to make something that's close to your size. That last one really depends on the participants.

What do you think?
