I'm moving in June and starting Law School in the fall. I'm trying to make things I'll use during the next three years 'cause I know I'm going to have NO time for crafting once I start school. No swaps for me any time soon!

The bit of red bordering the pocket: is that piping or bias tape? I really like that extra touch.



It is piping that I made.  Just bought some cording, then covered it with the red satin(y) fabric that I had at home.  I use my zipper foot when I sew that seam so it gets really close.  I've done it on a few bags I've made and it really turns out well.  And it does add a nice touch - DH says it adds "class". LOL
