141  Mom's PJs in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nofury on: January 23, 2008 06:41:12 PM
My mom is tall, and as a result, her PJ bottoms are always too short. She lives in Missouri where it gets cold in the winter. I believe her lower calves and ankles also deserve to be kept warm.

So, got a pattern and made some for her out of some flannel, extending the length. Also appliquéd a shirt to match.

142  Made some curtains for the bedroom... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by nofury on: January 23, 2008 06:37:18 PM
I have a street lamp right outside my bedroom window. It burned out Smiley They eventually replaced the bulb Sad  I was getting no sleep, so of course, I made curtains. They have two separate layers. The front is the material you see. The back is a layer of white blackout. I made them separate so that I can change the look without buying more blackout.

143  Several Greeting Cards (image heavy) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by nofury on: January 23, 2008 12:35:12 PM
I bought a Birthday Card for my cousin a few weeks ago, and it was over $3!!! So, I went home and made a bunch of cards to avoid spending that in the future.

The tags are blank so I can write whatever is needed: Thanks!, Happy B-day!, Congrats! etc

Little blurry...sorry!

These are my favorite!!!

144  Coquette Cover-up in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nofury on: January 23, 2008 12:02:59 PM
I've wanted one of these for a long time. Saw instructions in a book and went crazy! Made some changes, of course. (Don't we all?) Some due to supplies (narrower elastic....smaller button) and some due to style (added the leaf appliqués).

I'm still a bit new to sewing, and I struggle mostly with fabric that stretches: hence the crooked seam. Any advice there would be great! Usually I tear the fabric, but that didn't work for terry...

146  Re: River Rock Floor Mat **WITH TUTORIAL** in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by nofury on: August 02, 2005 08:03:36 PM
I'm in the process of making mine, and I'll offer a little advice: don't use small rocks. I decided to use a bag of rocks from Home Depot that I had left over from another project instead of getting larger ones like the person who started this thread. Just imagine the most difficult jigsaw puzzle in the world; would you rather the pieces be large or small? I will finish. It's just taking forever!!! I'm still super excited about it, and I can't wait until it's finished! Anyways, her's a pick of what I have so far:

147  Purse made of Duct Tape & a Tyvek Envelope in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by nofury on: August 02, 2005 07:55:34 PM
To be honest, I believed a duct tape purse a little silly. Wouldn't it just look like...duct tape? Then I viewed the AMAZING creations on this site, and I had to try it. LOVE IT!!! There's a pocket on the outside. There's one on the inside as well. I also added a pen and cell phone holder. I made a coupon holder to match. Thanks for proving me wrong. Opinions welcome!

148  Stenciled Headrests...(my fist post) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by nofury on: May 20, 2005 09:07:09 AM
This is my first post, so we'll see how this goes. These are headrests I sewed and stenciled (for over the bed). Got the idea from something I saw on IKEA. I moved some furniture around, and they're difficult to move because of the anchors holding up the bamboo rods. Now they're wall hangings!

Here's a close-up of the design:

Would appreciate feedback!

Thanks!
