1  Re: Pagan Swap 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by earth mama diva on: May 10, 2006 12:25:17 AM
Here are the beautiful items Feren made for me.

First I must say I love this little witch! I still haven't come up with a name for her, but I am open to suggestions. She is the cutest and when you open her up she has a black pouch with stones inside.

These are the stones and the wand she made from a branch from a lilac tree. I love that it's so simple.

These are element bowls. The pictures a little fuzzy, but there are flames and the fire bowl, waves for water, dirt for earth and clouds/sky for air. Faren came up with the brilliant idea of using ceramic because it takes all four elements to make them. I love that! If I haven't said it before, you are brilliant, Annel!

And last but certainly not least is this beautiful framed cross stich. I hung this in my worship space as soon as I took it out of the box. I love it.

I'm am trilled with this swap, it has absolutly been my best one ever. I just hope that when Phantomssiren finally recieves her package she loves it as much as I do mine!

4  Vegas Barbie! (image heavy) in CHALLENGE 9 ENTRIES by earth mama diva on: February 01, 2006 06:51:01 PM
The first time I read the challenge I read "Barbie" and thought, "how am I going to make her fat?"
I live in Las Vegas and thought, "I know, I'll make a Vegas Barbie!"
Looking at it now, I guess this isn't what the challenge was, but I thought I'd share anyway!
Let me know what you think!

She was a "California Barbie" who left the sandy beaches for the excitement of Sin City!

Oh My God, Kathy (mzgorighty), I love the stuff you sent me!! Until I just saw your post I swore you must have felt gipped!! The shirt is way cool and I love the little goddesses! (I'll probally frame the needlework)

I'm sorry I don't have a digital camera, but I promise to post your stuff ASAP!

Here's the image I used for the bookmark if anyone wants it...

And a couple more for fun!!

This was my first swap and it was so great! I have got to do these more often!

(K: I have to ask, was the shirt a Smiths reference or just fitting?)

7  Hot Wheels Display in CHALLENGE 8 ENTRIES by earth mama diva on: December 09, 2005 06:38:48 PM
My husband collects Hot Wheels and I've promised to make him a display...

Here are the supplies: 2'x2' board, 9 2' crown molding peices, wood glue and black paint. Were it for me, I'd use a happier color, but since it's for him I chose black. Besides the cars are pretty colorful.

First, I glued the molding pieces upside down to create a lip to hold the cars in place...

Then I painted it...

And viola! A handy dandy Hot Wheels display.(I cut off the bottom in the picture, but if you'll notice above there is a peice of molding on the bottom that keeps them from falling out.

This display holds 48 cars, but he's got a quite a few! I'm glad this came out well, but now I'm going to have to make some more!!

Thanks for looking!

8  Re: Moving to Vegas in August in Nevada by earth mama diva on: November 10, 2005 07:30:27 PM

I finally got a picture of my halloween costume. This isn't the best, but you get the idea. It took 8 decks of cards and 3 rolls of duct tape!

This being my first Halloween in Las Vegas, I thought it was fitting.
