Thanks...yes, the flower is a piece of pottery as well as the two leaves.

I did this mosaic about 2 months ago but only finished the grouting today.

"BLOM" is in fact my surname...and directly translated in Afrikaans means flower.

This piece is about an A4 size.

This year I decided to make my sister's Christmas present...which I gave to her last night...and her reaction was more than I expected. She nearly started crying....and that made my day totally.

My outlining would be just to draw (outline) the petals of the lily to define the shape of each of the 5 petals.

My wife started doing mosaics and eventually I thought I would try my hand at it.

Here is my very first piece. My second piece still needs to be grouted so I will only load a pic of it then.

Do you think I should define the leafs of the lily with black outlines?
