I have decided it might be great fun to dabble a bit in the world of art competition and created this piece as my first submission.  Some element of the theme 'maps' had to be featured within the art.  I featured many variations on the theme, but hopefully they are not too hidden to be noticed.

This was also the first piece I have ever done where I took and posted progress pictures of every step.  If you are interested in seeing those, they are posted on my art Facebook page.

Just finished this 8 x 10" quilled paper mosaic.  I am pretty thrilled with the result.  It took about 85 hours to complete and it is probably the most fun I have ever had doing a picture.  Hope you like it!

I am beyond thrilled to share this completed work - not because I am especially in love with it or anything, but because I started it in October 2012.  I worked at it really hard for a bit but my desire to finish sizzled.  For the past 5 months or so, I have only worked on it one weekend each month at a festival I attend.  I am happy to say that yesterday was it's last appearance
