21  Quilled Paper Shamrock Ornament in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: March 18, 2013 06:53:20 PM
Since moving to Hawaii in October, I have been living in an apartment building for the first time in about a decade.  In an effort to be a better neighbor than I likely was in my early twenties, I have decided to actually try to be a likable human being. As a family of 4 (two of which are a loud 6 & Cool, living in about 500 square feet... well, I have settled on the method of bribery as the best path to follow.

St. Patty's has been the first holiday that has arrived since we moved in, and thus the first opportunity for my to quill my little heart out neighbor style.  I chose to make a holiday ornament that could be hung from a window or such and I can later add to the collection as future holidays approach.  Here is what I came up with yesterday:

It measures about 2.5 inches wide by 3.5" tall.  I liked how it turned out but my neighbor seemed quite unimpressed.  Oh well, there is always Easter Smiley

22  Just finished new quilled work! (Extremely picture heavy...) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by littlecircles on: March 11, 2013 02:37:24 AM
I just finished this project and I probably should have waited to take pictures of it in the sunshine and not at 11:20 at night but.... well, I didn't. I am sorry there are so many photos, but it is too hard to see all the details from a far away shot.

This picture is 11 x 14" and was inspired by the following quote:

"There is only one time when it is essential to awaken.  That time is now." -Buddha

I hope you enjoy it!

This was my first month doing ATCs and I am now completely addicted.  I only managed 3 this month (am only posting pictures of 2 since one has yet to be received) - they take me a bit of time to do an while I would love to do nothing but make tiny little art cards all day, my husband says I still need to work.... Oh well Smiley

I feel like I just won the ATC lottery with the beautiful card that I just got in the mail.  It is truly beautiful and I wish the picture did the card actual justice - but believe it or not, it is actually even more stunning in person.  Thank you Laura!!  I am so glad I get the chance to reciprocate Wink

29  Just finished. in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: February 20, 2013 04:12:17 PM
I finished these paper earrings yesterday for a gratitude giveaway I was holding on FB. I've made this design before, but love how these ones turned out color wise.  When they are held up they look like lovely stained glass (an art I adore but do not know how to do).  I hope my lucky friend likes them as much as I do Smiley

Yeah!  I am glad you like it - I had so much fun making it.  My son loved it it so much I had to make him a similar  robot as soon as I shipped yours out Smiley

I am equally as thrilled to have received my beautiful abstract bird from fancybutch!  I love him so much.  Thank you very much for the card and for hooking me on this ATC goodness. Now I just have to figure out where to get an ATC gallery matte...
