11  twinkle, twinkle little quilled star... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: April 11, 2013 12:58:16 PM
I have been having so much fun this week playing around with some new techniques in my version of quilling - and while doing so, made this cute little pendant that I turned into a necklace using hemp cord.  It's pretty fun and I am sure to be making more of these babies Smiley

12  Quilled Methodist cross pendant. in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: April 08, 2013 05:55:56 PM
Not my typical kind of project... but I was asked by a friend to make this cross pendant for her pastor.  It was a challenge actually - which of course I love.  I still have to outfit it with the hardware and leather cord, but I think it turned out okay.

13  New quilled paper necklace in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: April 07, 2013 09:19:16 PM
I have been making quilled paper earrings for a few years now but haven't really expanded much into other kinds of jewelry until lately.  It has been so much fun coming up with new designs and the kind responses I have gotten from festival goers has spurred me on a great deal.  This mod design is pretty simple in design and to make.  I have had fun wearing it about town and thought I'd share it with you.  If you'd like to take a roll at making it, I made a free tutorial of the pattern too. Hope you like it!

14  New quilling techniques design. in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: March 30, 2013 05:39:35 PM
I have been experimenting a lot lately with some new techniques and things to shake things up a bit in my quilling design world.  While doing so, I made these two pendants with the intention of making them into necklaces.  They are pretty big.  The lotus is actually quite huge.  I really like them though.  Hope you do too!

Here is a really crappy photo of the design turned into a necklace.

16  Quilled Atcs (March) in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by littlecircles on: March 26, 2013 12:58:00 AM
My partners just posted these, so I can share them as well.  I only made 2 this month but they were o-so-fun to make.  Hope you like them.

17  Quilled Retro Telly Fish Tank in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: March 26, 2013 12:53:01 AM
I have had this design in my head for ages but finally got around to making it this evening.  I really like how it worked out.  I am going to make a few more versions this next week and create a tutorial for it eventually.  I think I will finish this one off and make it into a necklace.

*added another photo on page 3 that shows this design made into a necklace.

18  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap - March 2013 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by littlecircles on: March 26, 2013 12:49:14 AM
I got two great cards in the mail today - yeah!

First was a 'retro' flower sent to me by Homerof2.  I think it's great.  I love the little corner details.

The second was sent from Oath Keeper for my Grumpy Cat theme and I laughed out loud when I first saw it.

My daughter has been singing the lullaby over and over and over and over again.  She thinks it is so funny.

Thank you both!  I love them.

19  Quilled Paper Earrings - New Spring Designs in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: March 18, 2013 07:06:03 PM
I love, love, love designing paper jewelry.  As each new season approaches, I get the itch and design a new collection of sorts.  Here are a few that I have come up with over the past couple of days.  I'd love to know what you all think.  I will get to debut them in person at an art festival I am participating in over Easter weekend, but I am excited to show them to you all now Smiley

20  Quilled Paper Shamrock Ornament in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by littlecircles on: March 18, 2013 06:53:20 PM
Since moving to Hawaii in October, I have been living in an apartment building for the first time in about a decade.  In an effort to be a better neighbor than I likely was in my early twenties, I have decided to actually try to be a likable human being. As a family of 4 (two of which are a loud 6 & Cool, living in about 500 square feet... well, I have settled on the method of bribery as the best path to follow.

St. Patty's has been the first holiday that has arrived since we moved in, and thus the first opportunity for my to quill my little heart out neighbor style.  I chose to make a holiday ornament that could be hung from a window or such and I can later add to the collection as future holidays approach.  Here is what I came up with yesterday:

It measures about 2.5 inches wide by 3.5" tall.  I liked how it turned out but my neighbor seemed quite unimpressed.  Oh well, there is always Easter Smiley
