Well, thanks to everyone here, I bought my sock yarn today!

Now I am all set and ready to cast on, but before I do, I just want to double check something. I run about a US size 9-9 1/2 shoe.. what size sock would that be? I want to use this pattern...

Hi everyone,

I've searched other posts, but couldn't seem to find the answer to my question.

I am looking to purchase a sock yarn, preferable self-striping. It would be for the first socks I am going to try and knit so I don't want to spend an obscene amount of money on the skein. Does anyone know where I could find some cheap yarn, that is still of good quality? I really don't want to have to put a dent in my wallet. Thanks in advance!
