2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: I'm having the hardest time with this yarn! on: October 01, 2010 11:12:39 AM
If you want to use that hook you can double up with a worsted weight yarn. Caron simply soft is pretty soft & cheap

Chenille is not the best for a stiff granny square. You can use it & I would use a smaller hook if you do. But, your squares will always be kinda floppy. It's a great yarn for a basic dc scarf though, drapes pretty good.
4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Loom knitted projects - show off your creations on: July 08, 2010 11:14:40 AM
I tie as I go so I can pick what looks good next to each color. Most of the time I dont even weave my ends in since they pretty much blend in with the scrappy look

*bump*

I'm all about the scrap yarn hats.

I recently ordered some custom zombie fabric from spoonflower that I designed. Man is it expensive but these babies sell like hotcakes at festivals. The inside is arterial spray maroon  Grin

It's a hairpin lace loom. It's an older version of this http://www.stitchdiva.com/custom.aspx?id=77

I'm a fan of this laptop sleeve. I think it would make an awsome quilt.

If you want to go simple. You could totally play up the background too.

Really detailed (and creepy to some)

The old school Dawn of the Dead head design would make a cool quilt

OR the girl from the original Night of the Living Dead. I've seen her as a stencil a lot

Sorry for all the etsy links, I have a lot saved in my favorites  Wink
