Thank you so much to all of you for sending me your secrets, which kept me going. I really appreciated receiving them, and I am so sorry it's taken me so long to get back on track and that I'm posting these so late!

77  Re: TARGET HAS $1 YARN (not just kits!) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by motleycruiser on: September 27, 2005 08:31:48 AM
FYI I am making a shawl out of the butterscotch colored yarn holding 2 strands together as I crochet & there are big differences in yardage of every skein I have used so far. So if you are making something that needs a specific amount you may want to buy 1 extra just in case.

Any other completed projects?

I've made a hat using the gold/brown eyelash & a strand of beige together.....very cute

2 skinny long scarfs out of the rainbow and another out of the lime green/yellow boucle

I just finished a long skinny scarf from the green/yellow boucle Smiley 10 stitches on size 13's. IT's about 85 inches long plus 9 inches of fringe on each end. And I didn't even use a full skein... I was surprised.

Neither of the skinny scarves I have done used a whole one either, I was surprised too. I now have 2 extra balls of yarn  to make other goodies with though Grin

Craftykcate they didnt have that limegreen/blue boucle the first time I went either it came in later....along with some hot pink

I usually park in the school playground when I go, it costs like $5 but its as close as you are likely to get unless you are there really early & all the money is donated. If you dont like being crowded avoid the food area that is usually wall to wall. I usually walk around the whole thing & go down the street between dingleberrys & Ha Ha's

I was at the strawberry fesitval too sat, I think I was more annoyed by the horrible LOUD singers than the crowd...lol

I had these on my computer. This is a large krispy kreme & a matching bag (not the wallet I usually do)

and this is the sunflower seed packet one I did (with a capri sun change purse)

hope the pics work, its my first time trying to post one
