I guess my pattern is similar enough I can post my pouches here even though I didn't use the tutorial.




I sell quite a few of these at festivals & to a local shop.

Well I had planned on sending out last week but a local coffee shop owner was interested in my stuff & moved our meeting date up a week so I had to crank out some product samples for her. Good news is she loved everything & I'm now in another local shop (well 2 locations) YAY!!!

The top left corner are my homemade envelops which have business cards in them. I guess great minds think alike.





Does anyone have a preference if they would like their items given out at a festival with a purchase or sent with my etsy purchase. I was thinking of keeping half for the festival.

When I do mine it's basically front & back fabric good sides facing each other with the batting on the bad side of the back fabric. I sew a square (leaving a hole), nip the corners, turn it right side out & stitch around the edge. I like to stitch in the ditch when I do a quilted pattern.

I've been battling a huge bout of depression lately and haven't really felt the creative urge. This is my toe in the water back to crochet project. A friend of mine sent me some really funky vintage pattern books from the 40's to the 70's. I saw this really cool shell style belt in the back of one. Of course it was going to be in the next issue & I didn't have that next issue. Isn't that how it always is with old patterns you see something you really love but it's coming out next month & there is no way of getting one from 30 years ago...sigh. Anyways in true crafter style I thought you know I can make that. Well I modified my thinking mid design (again what crafter doesn't do this) and decided to do a neckwarmer because it has this cute victorian feel to it. So my first rough draft...

I currently working on a scarf version and writing down the pattern as I go now. So I'm hoping to have a finished pattern up within the next week. If anyone is curious that's a recycled wool yarn in worsted & I believe I used a 4.5 hook (maybe 5)

I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this, but I did want to show it off. My new display hand. I need some ideas on how to make the wrist longer & how to make it sit upright w/o having to hold it. I was thinking of floral foam wrapped in fabric for the wrist but then it would be top heavy. Any ideas from you uber crafty peeps would be appreciated.

3 coats of acrylic paint. They sell a color called "flesh" which I was really amused by, because we all have the same skin tone right. Not sure if I like the nail polish color yet but I didn't have any pink
