Did you plan to use the same colors? The pale wood frames with mostly white/cream and blue and green accents.

Hah, no we didn't plan it; it was coincidence. We do seem to have overlaps in our tastes and preferences so it isn't too surprising we ended up this way. Mine looks great hanging in my workshop!
Thank you all for your comments!

SheepBlue and I decided to do a personal swap for something arty, something experimental and possibly involving some less-than-traditional weaving. The results were fantastic!

From SheepBlue:

The artsy weaving. Isn't it splendid?!

Let's look closer:

SheepBlue used some of her art yarn stash to weave this creation. And look there on the left, that is a feather woven in. Very cool. And a rock - she wove in rocks. I love it.

She used branches for the frame as well as some smaller wood pieces woven in with the yarns. I like those clear beads - just a touch of sparkle. I also like the way that tightly wound blue and the fat, caterpillar-like green look together.

I realize you'll have to take my word for it, but that cream yarn is so squishy. It isn't too soft, but it isn't rough - it has a spongey, dense body. The fringe has been fondled, I admit. The feathers woven in are neat visual texture.

Beads, and rocks, and wood, and lumpy art yarn, and skinny art yarn! Oh my!

It really is amazing and it looks nice in my workshop, even in its temporary display home.
Thank you so much, sheepBlue, for this work of art. You're the best!

Those look like they'd do the job nicely.
When you say "upcoming comicon", are you referring to the Denver Comic Con?

Thanks everyone! I might have to make those graham crackers again and use some of my many, many neglected cookie cutters on them.
