1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Amy Butler, Heather Ross and Fassett! My first quilt! on: August 16, 2007 03:53:18 PM
I made my first quilt! It's for a friend who is having her first baby in Ferbuary. I really loved making it. I took a class here in Minneapolis at a great shop called Crafty Planet.

I can't wait to make another, I have been bitten by the quilting bug.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sweater Design Software, MAC friendly on: July 05, 2007 06:25:57 PM
Hi Knitters!

I am looking for a software program that I can design sweaters, hats and socks with. I have a MAC that I love, but it seems that none of the software is MAC friendly. Do you know any software I can use?

Thank you!

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help! Baby Surprise Jacket help needed, PIC on: May 14, 2007 05:30:38 PM
Hi knitter friends,

I am knitting the Baby Surprise Jacket by EZ. I am stuck! Here:

I am at 158st. The next step is to knit 10 ridges on the centre 90 sts. I understand this, but how do I get there? Do I put the end stitches on holders? Do I knit across the beginning 34 sts to get to the centre?

Any help would be appreciated!

6  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Where do you buy your Angelina? on: November 09, 2006 10:28:28 AM
Hi Everyone!

I am looking for Angelina and I'm having a hard time finding an online store that has a large selection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an art fair coming up soon and I'm selling batts, crazy sparkly batts! If you live near Minneapolis, the fair is December 2nd at the Midtown Global Market on Lake and Chicago.

Thanks

Ahhh!! I'm so excited, I signed up for Camp Plucky Fluff! It's held at her family's winery in Placerville, California. Check it out www.pluckyfluff.com/camp.html . Has anyone here participated in one of her camps before? Is anyone thinking of signing up? Yeah for spinning camp and I can't wait.
8  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Are you Spinning in Minnesota? on: May 23, 2006 06:10:29 PM
I was thinking how cool it would be to find some other spinners in MN! I would love to get a spinning group going or just make some local connections. So are you living in Minnesota?
9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Icelandic Wool...Can it be softer? on: April 11, 2006 03:51:20 PM
Hi Everyone,

I was giving a few Icelandic fleeces. I had them processed through a local fiber mill. Now I have 9 pounds of the roving (very crimpy). When I spin with it, it makes a very rough yarn. It's nothing I would want to knit a scarf out of. I definetly wouldn't want it against my skin.

The question:

Is there any way to soften the yarn? Maybe some kind of soaking process or heat bath?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!
