1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Anatomy Swap Gallery on: November 04, 2014 10:31:59 AM
LUDI: glad you love your items: the mask was a piece i made for my (now closed) Etsy shop, and it would be a shame to let it keep sitting in a box with other inventory, when it can have a nice new home with YOU!!!

isn't it funny that we BOTH made brains out of yarn? Smiley

Here are some pics:
Here is the AMAZING embroidery I received from LUDI:

I love it so much; it means "Think On Your Feet" in Latin  Grin

And here are the items I made FOR Ludi (she already received, so no spoilers here):

It is a home decor item (good for a desk) that I made using a plastic skull, a brain that I crocheted (no pattern!), doll eyes, wire wrapped glasses that i made, and other odds and ends....

This is a fridge magnet made with a bottle cap, dolls arms, hot glue, and plastic pins

And this is a snowflake holiday ornament made of plastic skeleton parts

I LOVE what I received from Ludi, and I hope she loves what i made for her
(I also threw in a bonus surprise: a polymer clay Bride of Frankenstein mask I made a while back, bc she she said she LOVEs Bride of Frankenstein)...

Last round of check in's before send out next week.

This week's check in:

Do you have any Halloween plans this Friday?

We are planning on going to a party and then to a cemetery tour.

Yes, Halloween plans: we are going to a burlesque show in Thursday night, and a movie screening of the original "Halloween" at a local theater on Friday night. I am dressing as Alex from a Clockwork Orange (a femme version, with a rhinestone codpiece!)

Also, photographed all the items I am sending to LUDI...gonna mail out very soon, as soon as I can find time to get to the post office Smiley happy halloween everybody

How is everyone coming along with their craft?

I am going to work on mine this weekend and should be ready to go by the middle of next.

Checking in here as well: crafting is all DONE, and I have a few extras I am throwing in as well.
I hope to ship out to LUDI early this coming Monday or Tuesday...just need to photograph everything, and box it up securely Smiley

oh, and hands are probably my number one favorite too bc, as someone else already said, when u think about the breadth of WORK that a pair of hands do in a life time (especially busy crafty hands like ours) it really is mind blowing, and almost spiritual!

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Molded hot glue on: October 03, 2014 11:55:06 AM
do you think this same idea could work with PUFFY FABRIC PAINT and PLASTIC CANDY MOLDS?

i have some plastic candy molds i used to use for polymer clay. since they are plastic, can NOT use hot glue as described in this post (such an awesome idea tho!), so wondering if I could SHALLOWLY fill the molds with puffy paint?

might just try and see if it works. will post successes/failures Wink

Hello everyone--super psyched to get started, and checking out my partner Ludi's pinterest Smiley

Just a thought: aren't we LUCKY we are doing this swap around halloween time? meaning, if your partner wants eyeballs, kidneys, brains, teeth, etc, you are MUCH more like to find craft supplies with these motifs in the stores NOW than any other time of year!

kittykill, was that intentional, or just a happy awesome stroke of luck?
